James Gunn took to social media on Friday to explain the reason for The Batman Part II‘s release date delay. Gunn confirmed the release date delay on Threads, explaining that the script for the film isn’t fully finished yet.
“Sure. Yes, it is true. The only reason for the delay is there isn’t a full script (those of you who follow me here probably know that already),” said Gunn. “Matt is committed to making the best film he possibly can, and no one can accurately guess exactly how long a script will take to write. Once there is a finished script, there is around two years for pre-production, shooting and post-production on big films.”
So what do we know about the films story, Gunn gave a little insight into this also saying;
“There’s a lot of unrest and there’s a lot of clamoring because of the revelations of what we find out at the end of the movie,” Reeves said in a Dec. 25 interview with Digital Spy. “As we enter into the next movie, there’s a lot more grey. There are more people at odds and more division in the city. It’s a lot more like our world is now; there’s a lot of turmoil because people are in their camps and not communicating.”
