world she created / inside of her pocket*’ releasing early 2025.

I have periods of intense overthinking and I battle regularly with my inner
monologue. soda pop! personifies these feelings. I was super inspired by
the anime ‘Words Bubble Up with Soda Pop’ which follows two teens who
have trouble communicating. Instrumentally, Luca Dixon and I took
inspiration from The Radio Dept, The Sundays and Kevin Abstract.”

globally adored singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou idealizes a love story that hasn’t even begun on “Better.” Buoyant melodies pave the way for Alice’s honeyed vocals as she depicts the early, untouchable bliss of a new love that won’t necessarily stand the test of time. Nostalgic, vintage keys dress the track in thoughts of cherished memories, sweetening the mirage of intense, fleeting connections — Stream.
Recorded at Cedar Creek Studio in Austin, TX while on the road with Clairo, the independently released track sees Alice joined by David Parry on guitar, Dekel Adin on bass and percussion, and Ziv Yamin on drums and piano.
“I wrote this song on my childhood piano at my mother’s house in one sitting,” shares Alice. “I tapped into my imagination and past experiences of the way I used to idealize someone when I first met them, imagining an unrealistic future and being blind to their faults. Putting someone on a pedestal then makes the fall back to earth even harder, when reality sets in and you realize everything you’ve projected onto them and that they could never live up to that.”
Fresh off their signing to Pale Chord / Rise Records, alternative rock band Saint Blonde is thrilled to share their brand new single and music video “Prowl”. A deceptively mellow track with a lithe bass melody, “Prowl” is about the swirl of emotions that comes with the vulnerability of casual dating. Fans can check out “Prowl” now here:
Friedberg release their long awaited debut album ‘Hardcore Workout Queen’, via Clouds Hill stream here, alongside the new single ‘So Dope’. The band also played their first UK headline show at London’s iconic 100 Club this week to celebrate the release of the album.
Bringing together their distinctive own-brand of alt-pop, Friedberg’s debut album ‘Hardcore Workout Queen’ broadens sonic palettes: psychedelia, dance punk and cowbell all joining the fray, often coupled with huge pop-leaning hooks. The results? An electric debut album that is undeniably Friedberg. In their frontwoman Anna Friedberg’s own words, it is: “like an endless road trip, with no destination.” The bands first record is filled with songs made for long drives with close pals, the sort of journeys where deep conversations become second nature and your innermost feelings are discussed over service station snacks and slightly-too-warm fizzy drinks. The kind of road trip you never want to end.
The album, featuring fan favourites; ‘Hello’, ‘My Best Friend’, ‘The Greatest’ and title track ‘Hardcore Workout Queen’, unlocks a further six unheard tracks, such as the breezy ‘Venice 142’ and synth driven ‘100 Times’, alongside the infectiously punky ‘Better Than We Are’ and transfixing album closer ‘Pull Me Off The Passing Line’.
Talking about the release of the album, Anna says “I suppose you could say this album is a journey through the inner workings of my past few years. It’s vast and minute, it’s everything and nothing. It’s about breaking in and breaking free, about slipping into someone else’s mind for a holiday from your own thoughts.”
Albany-raised pop-punk band State Champs released their highly anticipated fifth studio record and self-titled album via Pure Noise Records. The record is available to order on vinyl and stream now.
To commemorate the release day, the band also shared a music video for their punchy track “Save Face Story,” which had been teased on social media over the past few weeks. There were three other singles put out leading up to today, including “Light Blue,” Too Late To Say,” and “Silver Cloud,” all of which had accompanying music videos.
The band shared their thoughts on “Save Face Story” below:
“’Save Face Story’ is one of our personal favorites from the record. It spotlights an unlikely friendship between State Champs and German-based Hardcore Funk band Slope, providing one of the most exciting and effortlessly cool collaborations Champs has ever done. On paper, the combination might not make total sense, but the result speaks for itself. It’s perhaps an unexpected curve ball added to the rotation of our very familiar brand of windows-down pop punk.”
Celebrated folk duo Charles James & The Rise are set to release their highly anticipated new single, “The Sailor & The Saint”, on November 14th, accompanied by a striking, cinematic music video. Known for their deeply emotive storytelling, the band continues to captivate audiences with a tale of passion and peril that brings to life the haunting beauty of love on the edge.
“The Sailor & The Saint” draws listeners into the story of two lovers reminiscent of the infamous Bonnie and Clyde. Set in the gritty 1960s, the song combines Charles James & The Rise’s signature cinematic folk sound with lyrics that reveal the emotional extremes of romance lived in constant danger. The track pairs seamlessly with a visually compelling music video, directed by Donnagh Fitzpatrick, which uses contrasting timelines to explore the intimacy and fragility of the couple’s journey. Past scenes appear in black-and-white, capturing their happier, tender moments, while the vivid, colorful present reveals the consequences of their reckless lifestyle, where love and danger intertwine in high-stakes drama.
Director Donnagh Fitzpatrick explains, “From the moment I heard Charles James & The Rise, I knew I wanted to build a story around their music. Their sound has this cinematic depth that inspired me to create The Sailor & The Saint, a world where love and danger are inseparable. This was about bringing their music to life visually, matching the intensity and emotion in every note.”

Miami/NYC-based vocalist, producer and multimedia artist Stranger Cat shares resilient, self-produced sophomore album Slow Jam Love Letters To My Body In Pieces is out everywhere now. Plus, the sensual, layered “Come My Darlin’ to The Sea” out now and its mesmerizing visual calls to the artist’s fluid relationship to herself and delicately imagines healing, ushering in a necessary rebirth, re-discovery of joy and reclamation following profound hardship.
The resonant, expansive album, produced from bed while recovering from a serious accident, allowed the artist to feel it all. Putting the pieces of her body back together, both physically and emotionally, produced a collection of work that required careful reflection and complete surrender. Delving into the challenging experience, Stranger Cat shares, “These songs were written during a three year period when I was forced to sort of drop out of life and recover, first dealing with difficult dance injury which required 1.5 years of rehab, followed by a serious accident which left me healing in a wheelchair for five months with both legs casted.” As she grew accustomed to a new, intimate relationship to her body, she says, “I was thinking show your pain but make it sexy, make it art”.
Confined to a bed, the vivid ten tracks that emerged were an accumulation of the pain, frustration and yearning for a brighter future. “I channeled the longing for connection into these songs of desire.” The result is a cornucopia of orchestral synth pop with layered vocals, sparkly synths and 808 beat driven dance parties. “I wanted to give myself and the listener permission to feel everything–then dance and let it all go–the kind of dance you do alone when no one is looking.”
“Come My Darlin’ to The Sea,” the electronic pop track also out today, features an opera of inner effected voices calling to each other within a sensual drum and bass drop. It was written, recorded, produced, mixed and edited by Stranger Cat a few years ago while alone in collaborator Sufjan Stevens‘ old Brooklyn apartment. After sitting at the piano late one night, the song poured out of her–promptly leading to recording and producing much of it furiously over the next 48 hours. Stranger Cat feels it depicts the contradictions and nuances of her own life both lyrically and sonically, sharing, “Over a few years, I’d come back to it while I was injured, feeling like I was painting with sound. I wanted the drums and bass to be sexy and aggressive, contrasting the beauty of the ethereal vocals and piano. I poured myself into the making of the song and video, following its lead in every sound and nuance until the end–there’s a story I had to discover and tell, like I was making my own myth, the movie trailer to my life.”. Through the song, she pens her own mythology to a lover and her hopeful future healed self, to come to her broken mermaid’s shore.
The accompanying self-directed majestic, underwater video is a cleansing rite and an ode to bodily movement and the flow of the tide. Stranger Cat says, “I was obsessed with slow motion capturing this feeling of falling suspended eternally but never hitting ground in water, while re-discovering the joy of my body’s ability to move again. Water was surrender, movement, and flow, and became a theme. I created an audio and visual for my future healed self, a new mythology.“
ou Give Me Something is the latest track top drop from everyone’s favorite angry boyband, iNTeRNeT FReNDz. This song is the second track to be released as part of the Rumors EP, scheduled to drop early in the new year in its entirety. Rossy and Michael worked with the great Courtney Ballard who produced and mixed this song best known for his work with 5 Second Of Summer, State Champs and All Time Low.
Rossy: ‘This song came to me the day after I tried mushrooms for the first time haha! I remember waking up the next day and feeling a strange afterglow and the song in its entirety seemed to automatically download itself into my brain. We’ve only been a band publicly since March and we’re so excited to already be promoting tracks like this one from our second EP titled ‘Rumors’. Me and Michael can’t wait for our followers to hear the full package!’
Joey Sachi is an electronic-pop singer/songwriter who has recently made Tokyo her home and creative playground. Growing up in a household where music was a pivotal and integral part of her life, Joey Sachi quickly became inspired to follow in the footsteps of previous pop icons.
Before relocating to Tokyo, Joey Sachi became intrigued by songwriting after studying Classical music at the Conservatorium of Music. These experiences allowed Sachi to begin her career as an aspiring songwriter, shaped by iconic artists such as Jamie xx, Daft Punk, and Sabrina Claudio. With a firm appreciation of mending the gaps between pop and electronic music, Sachi’s introspective lyrics and emotional intimacy are bound to shake up the scene.
Influenced by musical icons including Madonna and KISS, Lark has created her own style of pop music, as seen in her inspirational lyrics and upbeat music. With an extensive history of performing live, Lark opened for world-famous artists, including BB King, Johnny Johnson, and Men at Work. Lark has also released a string of singles that exude positive and optimistic energy, such as “I’m With You” and “Good Good Energy.” Both singles rose to #1 on the World Indie Music Charts and the Euro Indie Music Chart. Most recently, she won two awards at the International Singer-Songwriters Association Awards.
Concrete Husband, in a curious alchemy, lets us see both sides of the coin at once. Piel expresses the artist’s dual sides. A searing flute opening delves into a torrent of techno madness, topped with two stellar remixes from techno icons TWR72 and 1morning. Concrete Husband takes us from introverted depths to extroverted heights.
Concrete Husband’s experimental worlds exhibit his introspection. A troubled relationship’s end spawned the emotional ground for the album’s first half. “Everyone else thought my relationship was perfect, and in my own fantasy so did I – but it was violent. He was lost, and I was lost too. Piel is me coming back to myself.” These pieces come from a place of self-discovery after the disorientation left in the wake of a painful breakup. Tracks like “Piel” and “Esperanza,” appear beautiful and harmonious but are undergirded with harsh dissonance, while tracks like “Despedida” and “La Primera Vez” wail out in sheer darkness. Concrete Husband’s sonic body of work is a disjunct and hazy self-contemplation.
If the first half of this double EP tells the story of discovering one’s own voice through introversion, the second half is the soundtrack of the new self’s extroversion. In a sharp turn, Concrete Husband nosedives into sweaty, sensual madness. This is raw, hot, techno built to sustain tension in the body. He melds hardgroove rhythms with industrial sound design to create an entrancingly dark vision of techno. Guided by his masterful four-deck approach to DJing, these tracks use alarming percussion and entrancing rhythms to make carnal body-music. Piel expresses a novel approach to both experimental music and techno, showing how physical highs and emotional lows horseshoe dangerously close. Concrete Husband’s bold album documents his personal rebuilding and challenges his listeners to see the other side.

Dexter and The Moonrocks, pioneers of “Western Space Grunge,” leaned into their Western roots with a live cover of Tyler Childers’ “Messed Up Kid.” The cover is streaming here, and a video of the band performing the track live is here.
The Moonrocks’ own “Sad in Carolina” is currently at #4 on the alternative radio chart behind Jack White, Linkin Park and Sum 41. The song marked the debut radio single from the band’s inaugural EP, “Western Space Grunge,” released earlier this year.

According to Alternative Press, Dexter and The Moonrocks “shorten the distance between grunge, space rock and country.” The band has won over rock and country fans alike, with Raised Rowdy declaring, “‘Western Space Grunge’ is a great collection of heaters with the quality we have grown to expect from the group. The fuzzy, energetic guitars, booming rhythm section and perfect mix of melancholy and angst that Dexter and The Moonrocks have made their own by now is ever present on this EP and better than ever.”
At just twenty years old, singer-songwriter JOAQUINA has quickly become one of the most exciting rising stars in Latin pop. Her poetic pop-rock reflections on heartbreak, anger, and teenage angst evoke the early works of contemporary artists as well as renowned songwriters.
JOAQUINA’s musical style, focused on a return to the roots of Latin pop, quickly caught the attention of established talents. GRAMMY®-winning producer Julio Reyes Copello (Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez) selected her to participate in the prestigious music program with Abbey Road Institute, and she has continued refining her skills on stage, recently opening for Fonseca, Alejandro Sanz, and Morat on their tour. JOAQUINA is the youngest artist ever to be nominated in the category of “Best Singer-Songwriter Album” for her debut EP Los Mejores Años, taking home the coveted Latin GRAMMY award for “Best New Artist.”

After dropping a loosie, “The Workload,” featuring Method Man a few weeks ago, Skyzoo is back with a new single and a new album announcement.
Now, in addition to releasing “Courtesy Call” featuring the legendary Chuck D, Skyzoo has also announced the follow-up to his critically acclaimed, The Mind Of A Saint, as his new album, Keep Me Company, will be released on 11.29.24. “Courtesy Call” is now available at all DSP’s.
“The idea behind “Courtesy Call” came from the energy of the beat itself. The track, produced by The Dagger, out of Michigan, is bare-boned and layered all at once; between the subs and the 808’s going neck and neck with the breakbeat drums. It’s sort of a double entendre in its own right, and the intensity of it led me to write a sparring session over it. As someone known for double-meanings, but also storytelling, it had been a while since I used that multi-layered part of my arsenal to just “rap”; so this was an opportunity to just rhyme relentlessly. The beauty of the record is every single line is at least a double entendre, if not a triple” Skyzoo explains. “For the hook, I had this idea of a grand and boisterous voice to being the “warning” home; and there’s none better than the legendary Chuck D. Over the years, Chuck has been a huge supporter of mine, so we were overdue for a collab—and I am honored to have him on the record with me.”
Skyzoo’s new album, Keep Me Company, will be released on 11.29.24 via FGR Inc./Old Soul Music.
Country music’s most notorious rebel, and the greatest Country singer in the world, Wheeler Walker Jr., is back! After recently completing his 72-city Spread Eagle tour, Wheeler has now released an expanded edition of his latest release album Ram. The Ram Deluxe Edition includes two new remixes produced by Pops (J.Cole, The Game ft Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean); “Born To F*ck” featuring recent Grammy Award Winner Killer Mike (who swept all of the major categories including Rap Album Of The Year at the 2023 Grammy’s), and “Money ‘N’ Bit*hes” which features one of Hip-Hop’s most inventive and fun artists Danny Brown. “Both new singles are now available at all DSP’s.
These two new collaborations cement Wheeler’s legacy of fearlessly pushing boundaries and organically aligns with his “no fucks given” ethos, something Hip-Hop has long embodied. “Wheeler has been waiting to collaborate with hip-hop artists his whole career. They’re the only popular artists he understands. He grew up in Kentucky listening to Country, but his friends played him N.W.A., and the Geto Boys. He loved it” a close source confirmed. “The Geto Boys were nastier than him and they were on FUC*ING MTV! 2 Live Crew fought for freedom of speech thirty years ago and Wheeler still can’t get on a playlist. Hip-hop artists are attracted to collaborate with Wheeler because of his language, artistry, and attitude” the source adds.
Walker’s collaboration with Killer Mike on “Born To F*ck” was conceived out of a mutual appreciation for classic hip-hop. The two initially connected over their love for Scarface from The Geto Boys. Killer Mike’s verse is dedicated to Brother Marquis of 2 Live Crew; an homage to the unapologetic style that Wheeler has championed throughout his career.
Danny Brown’s feature on “Money ‘N’ Bit*hes” further solidifies the symbiotic connection between Walker and the rap world. Wheeler recalls similar conversations with Brown about their shared admiration for music that pushes the boundaries of free speech. It’s no wonder Snoop Dogg once sang Wheeler’s breakout hit “Fuck You Bi*ch” on his Instagram; a nod to the respect the trailblazer garners from legends across genres.

With a swift comeback, Pharmacists make their mark once again with their new single, “Is it everything.”
The whole concept springs from a deep well of distrust and introspection. The inspiration come’s from the band striving to channel the vibrant energy that draws people away from their screens, and into the real world. The open-road vibe of the guitars, the powerful crescendo of the drums, and the decorative pulse of the bass all unite to propel this track forward. The lyrics take on a more reflective tone, evoking the feeling of an intimate conversation shared on a park bench, capturing the essence of our times.
Lead singer Will Porteous said:
“We set out to create explosive moments, and as we walked out of the studio, we felt a profound sense of fulfilment. The guitar work towards the end is a bold departure for us, a truly guitar-driven melodic outro designed to resonate with the lover of Alternative Indie”.
Olly explores the theme of living a double life. In the realm of social media, individuals often present a façade that differs from their true selves.
This work delves into the issue of authenticity in today’s culture.
It is produced by Daniel Finsley and remastered by Keith Kosmopolis of Bank Hard Beats.
Turkish-Italian DJ and producer Carlita releases her highly-anticipated debut album, Sentimental. The album, which is the culmination of Carlita’s lifelong journey through music, is out now via Ninja Tune.
Throughout its 12 tracks, Sentimental taps into Carlita’s passion for Turkish psychedelia and ’90s rock while touching her roots in classical music. This blend of influences, paired with collaborations with Sicilian musician Orofino, super dance/pop producer SG Lewis, and mentor-manager DJ Tennis, fuse into her penchant for house, techno, and indie dance and tell the whole story of Carlita’s musical odyssey, which began at age three when she first learned the piano and has taken her to dance music’s most coveted spaces.
Carlita’s greatest strength as a musician, her natural ability to learn any instrument, permeates the tracklist on Sentimental. Recordings of her playing piano, cello, bass guitar, drums, and more are featured throughout the album and, paired with her knowledge of music theory, give the body of work its timeless, intuitive, and cohesive feel. It’s easy to imagine tracks like “Time,” “The Moment,” and “Trouble Symphony” working beautifully on the dance floor, but there’s also the essence of something deeper, the touch of a musical scholar that pushes Sentimental beyond clubs and festivals, and into backyards, dining rooms, runways, and all places reserved for bringing people together.
Skrewball Whiskey, the original peanut butter whiskey, today announced a partnership with saucy charmer, rapper Yung Gravy, to Skrew The Usual holiday traditions in favor of some much needed nutty mischief this season. Skrewball and Yung Gravy are encouraging Americans to “Give Thanks and Get Basted” this Thanksgiving (responsibly, of course!) by encouraging people to liven up their wholesome holiday plans in a way that only Skrewball can – by enjoying a shot out of an extra unexpected baster.
The holidays often bring boredom and awkward conversations with family and friends, while following the same dull monotony seen on social media feeds year after year. To shake up the usual holiday humdrum, Skrewball and Yung Gravy are releasing a limited-edition Skrewball Baster Set, because nothing screams tradition more than mom’s turkey baster. The brand found a partner in Yung Gravy to lend his swaggy taste, unique charm and nutty humor. Plus, Gravy is in his name, so he always brings the sauce!
The Skrewball Baster Set includes seven 50ml Skrewball shot basters, a wooden baster holder and a gravy boat to fill with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. The set is not just for basting the turkey and passing the gravy – it’s designed to share shots and the delicious peanut butter taste of Skrewball Whiskey with family and friends (21+). The Skrewball Shot Basters measure the perfect single serve pour of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey every time, featuring a baster bulb shaped like Skrewball’s sheep logo. The Skrewball Gravy Boat is a twist on your tried-and-true serving vessel for the delicious sauce and an ideal addition to the Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving table spread. Family and friends can have fun filling their basters with delicious peanut butter whiskey straight from the gravy boat.
“Skrewball and Gravy together just made sense from the jump. We’re both sweet, smooth and know how to start the party ;). This Thanksgiving, I wanted to take family time to the next level. All you need is a turkey baster, a gravy boat, and some Skrewball,” said Yung Gravy. “Let’s all ‘Give Thanks and Get Basted’ this Thanksgiving with Gravy and Skrewball!”
