A first look photo has been released for A24’s Opus which stars John Malkovich as a pop star cult leader. The upcoming horror movie is written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, and is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on March 14, 2025.
Opus marks A24’s first horror feature for 2025. The movie also stars The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri, Juliette Lewis, Amber Midthunder, Murray Bartlett, Young Mazino, Stephanie Suganami, Tatanka Means, and more.
“A young writer is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star who mysteriously disappeared 30 years ago. Surrounded by the star’s cult of sycophants and intoxicated journalists, she finds herself in the middle of his twisted plan,” the synopsis reads.
Opus hits theaters on March 14.
