The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in the upcoming Star Wars movie that Shawn Levy will direct. It also reports that Gosling will take the lead role. While not much is known about the upcoming project THR’s report does state that the film is intended to be a standalone project, and will not be connected to the “Skywalker Saga,” which are the nine films that comprise most of the theatrical Star Wars projects.
