‘Little House On the Prairie’ Reboot In The Works At Netflix

Netflix is officially developing a Little House On the Prairie reboot series of NBC’s classic 1970s Western drama.

“The reimagining will center around Charles, his wife Caroline and their daughters Laura and Mary as they leave Wisconsin to settle in Independence, KS. There will be Osage characters, as the first season is based on the book Little House on the Prairie,” reads the logline.

The reboot will be executive produced by showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine. The original series starred Michael Landon, Karen Grassle, Melissa Gilbert, Melissa Sue Anderson, Lindsay Sidney Greenbush, and more, which ran on-air for nine seasons from 1974-1983.
