Kate Winslet is making her feature directorial debut with Netflix‘s family drama movie, Goodbye June. Winslet has also signed on to lead the movie and produce, and will head into production in the UK later this year.
“Set in present-day England, the movie revolves around a fractured group of siblings pull together under sudden and trying circumstances,” reads the initial synopsis.
Goodbye June will also star Helen Mirren, Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, and Timothy Spall. Winslet will be directing from a screenplay written by Winslet’s son Joe Anders.
