Zendaya Teams with A24 & Barry Jenkins for ‘Bad Girl of Rock & Roll’

Zendaya is officially teaming up with director Barry Jenkins for A24’s upcoming biographical drama movie about legendary musician Ronnie Spector. Zendaya is set to portray Spector. The movie is set to be titled Bad Girl of Rock and Roll.

The project will reportedly be based on Spector’s 1990 memoir, which she co-wrote with Vince Waldron. Before she passed she requested Zendaya to play in her biopic. The upcoming movie will be directed by Jenkins from a screenplay written by Dave Kajganich.
