The Hollywood Reporter has reported that an Urban Legend reboot is officially in the works, with a modern era take on the 1990s slasher is currently in the early stages of development. The new version of the 90’s horror movie will be written by Shanrah Wakefield. Gary Dauberman, one of the co-writers of the Until Dawn adaptation, is producing the film.
No casting information has been provided at the moment, and no director has been attached. What THR does report is that the film is aiming to be “examination of what an urban legend looks like in a post-digital world.”
