THR is reporting that Deadpool and the X-Men are joining forces for a new film that Ryan Reynolds is exploring inside the MCU. THR mentions that he’s been “exploring ideas” for what a new movie featuring Deadpool could look like, which would involve the iconic mutant group.
This movie is also said to be separate from an official X-Men movie, which is being written by Michael Lesslie. No word on what characters that would be involved in the movie, but in THR’s report it does state that this is “extremely early days and far from becoming a reality.” THR also notes that Reynolds is working separate from Marvel Studios on this, meaning this project could still be a long way from coming together.
