Bakers Eddy formed as teenagers in 2011 in Wellington, New Zealand. Led by charismatic Ngati Porou & Ngati Tuwharetoa front man Ciarann, the band of four friends (rounded out by Ian, Alex and Jamie) relocated to Australia and since then have built a live show that has become the stuff of legend. Carving out a niche all their own with a sound that straddles the punk and pop worlds, and a show that veers from chaotic to tender, Bakers Eddy make everyone who comes to their shows feel part of their whanau.
Bakers Eddy released their debut album, Love Boredom Bicycles in March 2022. Recorded with Oscar Dawson (Vacations, Alex Lahey) at the helm, the album spawned the infectious singles ‘21’, ‘Concertina’ and ‘My Baby’s Like Cigarettes’. Having supported Maggie Lindeman, Stand Atlantic and Grandson, Bakers Eddy are ready to take on the world. Their forthcoming EP was self produced with Vince McIntyre (Fan Girl) and mixed by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes, Weezer) and will be out early 2025.

Clayton Thomas (63k) aka Reverse Pathogen (90k) and previously ghost luv me (303k), found success in the hip hop space before following his passion back to his rock roots. His baritone lead vocals and vintage-style mixing brings warmth, grit, and storytelling back to rock.
Out this Friday, new single “Bleed for This” is an anthem against the hollow spectacle of today’s manufactured “punk,” acting as a battle cry against the commercialization of rock. It’s a middle finger to the fake, and a love letter to the real. Inspired by the ‘hey mans’ of Bowie’s “Suffragette City”, the track takes aim at the gimmick-laden, novelty-driven state of modern rock. Presave it here.
His upcoming album, Accidentally Fetishized drops this May 18. Entirely self produced by Clayton with the legendary Josh Freese (Foo Fighters, Devo, Vandals) on drums, the full length is a defiant push against the sanitization of modern rock, and a testament to artistic independence and authenticity.

Choice Music Prize-nominated artist and producer Elaine Mai joins forces with Soda Blonde’s Faye O’Rourke in Aim, a single with a powerful narrative on generational trauma and its lingering effects. Mai has captivated audiences with her dynamic blend of electronic artistry and production since 2012, garnering over 5.6 million streams on Spotify. Her career is punctuated by notable collaborations and remixes, having worked as a producer with artists such as Pillow Queens, Daithí, Loah, and MuRli. Her remix of Loah’s Nothing reached number one in the Irish Radio Airplay Charts for independent songs and amassed over 1.1m streams on Spotify, highlighting her prowess in reimagining and elevating existing tracks.

Singer-songwriter/producer/performer/provocateur Boyfriend is excited to release the next single, “BITE,” from In The Garden, a new concept album reimagining the biblical story of Adam and Eve through a feminist and queer lens. “BITE” is a mostly instrumental electronic track with pulsing, snapping synths and rushes of acoustic guitar. The track is available on all streaming services now.
“‘BITE’ is the catastrophe (in modern terms, climax) itself, the culmination of the building action, where Eve finally crosses the boundary she’s been pushing against from the start and takes the bite,” Boyfriend explains. “The song opens with Eve asking questions – as she is the desire for knowledge personified – and these questions lay out the paradox of this origin story.
“The song is mostly instrumental, allowing the listener to envision the action unfolding and giving contemplative space to an otherwise very lyric-dependent project here at the crucial moment of action. If Eve embodies curiosity, and this project aims to recast her as the hero and curiosity as a virtue rather than a failing, then the project itself seeks to not only offer questions, but space for questioning. This instrumental moment in the album has purposeful sonic scene changes, including lyrics from the other characters in rhythmic overlapping samples.”

The energy of African dance meets the spirit of Afrobeats music in I Believe In Myself, a new children’s album from award-winning dancer, choreographer, songwriter, and educator Funmilayo Chesney. Presented under the moniker “FUSHA Kids” and drawn from Funmilayo’s decades of teaching and performing with her NYC-based African dance ensemble, FUSHA Dance, I Believe In Myself is set for release on May 16, 2025.
The album’s highly rhythmic title track, “I Believe In Myself (Yay! Yo!),” is out today as a single! The single accompanies the already released video of the song, which can be viewed HERE.

Durry, a brother/sister indie rock band from Minneapolis, MN have announced details surrounding their forthcoming new album, ‘This Movie Sucks’ to be released June 27 via Thirty Tigers. With the announcement comes the release of their new single and title track “This Movie Sucks” streaming now on all digital platforms, here: https://orcd.co/d-tms-s. The official music video for the song will premiere this Friday, April 4 on YouTube at 11am CT at this link: https://youtu.be/X5sBJI1pQCQ
Composed of Austin and Taryn Durry, the band is known for their wry, tongue in cheek lyrics about the futility of adulthood and the world at large. Their song “Who’s Laughing Now” took off on Tiktok, amassing six million streams with listeners resonating with coming of age frustrations. It helped songs from their debut album ‘Suburban Legend’ see mentions with publications like Rolling Stone and Ones To Watch and debut at number four on the Alternative New Artist Chart.
‘This Movie Sucks’, the band’s sophomore effort, produced by Phil Odom (Code Orange, Turnover, Say Anything), has a bit of everything for everyone. The sound is wildly diverse, taking Durry’s established sound and stretching it further than ever before. With strong punk rock sensibilities in songs like “Bully” and “Start a Band” alongside the folksy sounds of “The Long Goodbye” and “Slug Bug”, the album is a wild ride from start to finish – tailor made for those reliving the energetic angst of the rock scene in the early aughts. Lyrically, ‘This Movie Sucks’ touches on universal themes such as prolonged grief, the toxic nature of Internet culture and remembering loved ones.
“Honestly the process of making this record has been a dream come true for us,” says Austin Durry. “We’ve always recorded in basements, and home studios whenever we could find time and finances to make it happen. But for this record we were finally able to get into a big studio with a completed body of work and just bang out a whole album. It felt so good, and I think that really shines through these songs.”

Machine Living in Relief is the latest in a series of records taking place in the dystopian Rocket City, kind of like Narnia or Neverland in te E.W. Harris extended universe. “It’s New York City, 250 years in the post-apocalyptic future,” he explains, with the eager enthusiasm of a kid just home from Space Camp. “But all the buildings have been replaced by rocket ships that never took off. I wanted a place to tell exciting and compelling stories that didn’t have to be burdened with my own everyday existence.”
The instrumentation is unusual – you’ll hear a Speak & Spell, a guitalele, a broken autoharp), a handful of MacGyvered percussion hacks (can full of rice, “suitcase that I hit with a roll of duct tape”) in addition to more common instruments like banjo and guitar throughout these folkways-meets-the-spaceways tracks. Call it asteroid field recording. The one caveat with this specific endeavor is, per a bar room challenge, it’s all acoustic.
“I was in the bar one night,” E. W. recalls with a gleam, “and somebody—I don’t remember who—says ‘You won’t make a completely acoustic record about robots and AIs’, to which I replied: ‘The hell I won’t!’”
I really can’t get enough of this one, and I hope you’ll give it some love!

We will not be quiet, and we will fight through joy! I think it’s time to make LOVE, not content. LOVE, not anger. LOVE, not hatred, and love, not war.
I’m committed to bringing my newfound freedom to a city near you. A celebration is in order. I have partnered with Feeld, a dating app for open-minded people, in order to bring our sexually liberated selves and give us a place to flirt, meet, connect, and dance.
Color-coded options will be available soon, but this summer wear RED if you are single, horny, and down to flirt!
Let’s fight chaos with love, so let’s see how much love we can bring to the summer of 2025.
And along the way, I’m looking for a sugar daddy, so if you bring a tall, hot, single friend, you get extra animal points.
Let’s help each other find some love and connection this summer.
Alec Ounsworth and his band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are celebrating their 20th anniversary with today’s announcement of limited deluxe vinyl reissues of the landmark self-titled debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, as well as Flashy Python’s Skin and Bones, Ounsworth’s 2009 solo debut, Mo Beauty, and the band’s 2011 third album, Hysterical. All albums will be available Friday, May 30, on Ounsworth’s label via Secretly Distribution. Pre-orders are available now.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (20th Anniversary Edition) will feature a fresh reimagining of the album’s iconic artwork, embodies the album’s DIY spirit with stunning splatter vinyl housed in a refined gatefold redesign featuring peel-off gecko stickers for personal creativity and a bonus flexi 7” with the recently unveiled original 2004 recording of “Heavy Metal” all paying tribute to one of the most beloved indie rock records of all time. An exclusive trailer premieres today on YouTube.
Flashy Python’s Skin and Bones, a hauntingly playful album released in 2009 without fanfare and featuring Ounsworth alongside members of Dr. Dog, The Walkmen, and Man Man, will be available for the first time ever in record stores, redesigned with hidden covers revealed by die-cut and semi-transparency as well as translucent rouge vinyl. Originally released under his own name in the same year, Mo Beauty – which Ounsworth describes as “something of a love letter to New Orleans” and includes production by Steve Berlin (Los Lobos, The Blasters) and backing from such iconic New Orleans musicians as George Porter Jr. and Stanton Moore, among others – will make its vinyl return with a redesigned gatefold, spot gloss varnish, and marble smokey vinyl. Lastly, the band’s 2011 third album, Hysterical, which NPR praised as balancing “the exuberance of the band’s first album with beauty and reflection,” produced by John Congleton and boasting musical contributions from the legendary Mike Garson (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails), now features a reinterpreted design of the original artwork – also exclusively limited to this reissue – with blue metallic foil, marble vinyl, and an inlay poster.
