Deadline is reporting that Ana de Armas is set to star alongside Tom Cruise in an upcoming horror film titled Deeper. The movie is being directed by Doug Liman. The project has been in the works for nearly a decade, as it was originally going to be made by MGM in 2016.
According to Deadline the story “follows an astronaut who encounters a terrifying force while on a deep dive into a never-before-explored trench.” While the project has changed directors numerous times the script has now been placed in the hands of Mission: Impossible’s Christopher McQuarrie. The script was initially written by Max Landis.
