A darkly gripping series, THE MORTICIAN chronicles a trusted family-owned funeral home that hid behind a façade of decency and propriety to take advantage of loved ones at their most vulnerable moments. Audiences can’t look away from stories about death because it’s the ultimate mystery—inescapable, universal, and deeply personal. In a culture that often sanitizes or ignores our final moments, THE MORTICIAN dares to shine a light into the shadows where grief, greed, and betrayal collide. It taps into our fascination with the taboo, forcing us to confront our fears and question what really happens behind closed doors.
