INsiders Guide: Durry, HUGEL, Malachiii, Blonde Maze, Eli Brown….

The brother sister indie rock band, Durry, have released another new single today from their forthcoming album. Fans can now stream and watch the official music video for “idk i just work here”. The video premiered earlier today on YouTube with Austin and Taryn joining the live chat alongside fans.

“This is the minimum wage anthem,” explains Austin Durry on the new single. It’s super fun, fast paced, and quirky. All based around the classic scapegoat phrase “I don’t know I just work here”. Recently we had some financial uncertainty and I had to grapple with the fact that I might need to get a shitty job again to keep things afloat. Thankfully that’s not the case, but that’s what I was thinking about when I wrote this song. Remembering all the mind-numbing hours doing something I couldn’t care less about.”

international house music sensation and multi-platinum selling DJ and producer, HUGEL, joins forces for the first time with Grammy Award-winning artist David Guetta, multi-platinum songstress Kehlani, and vocalist Daecolm to unveil what will undoubtedly be the song of the summer, “Think Of Me”. Captivating from the onset, “Think Of Me” immediately transports listeners into a dreamy, groove-filled realm that captures the essence of sun-soaked days that blur into endless nights. HUGEL’s signature Latin and Afro-infused beats carry Kehlani and Daecolm’s lush vocals, as Guetta’s euphoric drops and bright synths fuel the track with unexpected bursts of energy. Embodying the soul of the season, the track brings summer to life with an invigorating beat and feel-good ambiance.

The powerhouse collaboration arrives as an effortless follow-up to HUGEL’s 2024 global hit, “I Adore You,” and a testament to the innovator’s sonic genius and collaborative spirit. A convergence of today’s most influential tastemakers in music, “Think Of Me” offers an infectious, anthemic track as nostalgic as it is fresh, guaranteed toset dancefloors ablaze around the globe.

LA-based artist, singer-songwriter, producer and DJ Malachiii, returns with his latest single, “Low Low,” heating up just in time for the warm-weather months. The upbeat,
high-energy track celebrates dance, motion and pure joy, set to release on Friday, May 2, 2025. “Low Low” is designed specifically to get everyone up and dancing – from packed dancefloors to solo-listening. The vibrant track builds upon itself, layering Malachiii’s silky-smooth vocals with the driving bassline to create an atmospheric feel that transcends listeners in his ambient, groovy realm. Bouncing between soft falsetto and passionate, more traditional R&B vocal stylings, Malachiii puts his instantly-recognizable vocal range on full display. Showcasing his songwriting prowess, his clever use of repetition and vocal manipulation harness a hypnotic power, triggering an irresistible sensation, urging listeners to dance like there’s no tomorrow.

The mind holds on to what the heart isn’t ready to say. That first flicker, when something new settles in and refuses to leave. Blonde Maze captures that delicate emotional terrain with “Asleep In My Head,” a striking collaboration with South African producer Polar Inc. and Channy Leaneagh of the celebrated indie-electronic band POLIÇA. This track marks the fifth single from Blonde Maze’s upcoming album “Second Sight,” out this May on Enhanced Music.

“Asleep In My Head” lingers in the tension between hesitation and longing, where feelings form and take hold. Blonde Maze shapes the track with a sense of calm urgency, layering soft synths and measured movement around lyrics that feel both inward and expansive. Channy Leaneagh’s voice moves through it all with quiet force, drawing out the emotional complexity without ever breaking the stillness. Together with Polar Inc., the production stays grounded and restrained, letting every moment breathe while the intensity builds just beneath the surface.

This release follows a string of standout singles from Blonde Maze’s upcoming album, “Second Sight”, including “To Love Again” featuring Lizzy Land and “Never Dream” with Attom, each praised for their emotional resonance and textural sophistication.

techno’s most explosive force, Eli Brown, unleashes his latest single, “Wavey”. Officially ringing in EDC Las Vegas as the festival’s official anthem, the highly-anticipated track arrives via Insomniac Records on May 9, 2025. The track opens with a turbo-charged acid line that straps listeners in, just seconds before the master
producer’s thunderous bassline plunges them deep into the underground, at nothing short of breakneck speed. Showcasing his penchant for shattering boundaries, Eli Brown encapsulates the relentless energy and rebellious spirit of techno with “Wavey” – launching the track into overdrive at a blistering 137 BPM as the brazen lyrics claiming his rightful title as a rockstar of the genre.

Philadelphia-based indie rock quartet Mo Lowda & the Humble share their latest shuffling, smooth groove, “The Painter” out now. The synth-driven bubbly, encouraging tune aims to break free from self-doubt and attempts to maintain artistic inspiration through self-compassion and patience.

The band’s spirited, texturally rich fifth studio album Tailing The Ghost is due out June 20 and available for pre-save now. Recorded entirely on the road across America’s most scenic settings, the spellbinding LP promises to be the band’s most commanding, cohesive body of work yet.

Plus, the group will embark on a lengthy North American tour this summer and fall, with support from French Cassettes and Illiterate Light and a slew of festival appearances at Boston CallingGreen River and more. See a full list of dates below and grab tickets now via molowda.com/motour.

Led by a steady, shuffling synthy guitar loop, “The Painter” encourages creativity and shakes off writer’s block with its yacht rock-esque, relaxed energy. Jordan Caiola (lead vocals, guitar, bass) says the track, “tells a story of an artist’s journey–marked by doubts from others/themselves, outside pressures and the ongoing process of finding the inspiration and energy to both start and finish projects. With an overarching theme of ‘every canvas starts off empty and blank,’ this song is meant to provide the nudge and confidence so many creators need to put things out into the world.”

remote ambient-jazz quartet Fuubutsushi announce Columbia Deluxe, a new album documenting the project’s first and only live performance to date, arriving July 11 via American Dreams. Since their inception, the group has composed music in isolation from one another across the country, with all four continental U.S. time zones represented by its members: Patrick Shiroishi (Los Angeles), Chris Jusell (Raleigh), Matthew Sage (Colorado Front Range), and Chaz Prymek (Salt Lake City). It’s fitting that Fuubutsushi’s sound reflects the broad landscape the members survey—dynamic, warm, energetic, and rewarding of patience. On Columbia Deluxe, the band heightens these qualities, translating compositions from their earliest releases through their 2024 LP Meridians into a rare live setting.

To mark the announcement, Fuubutsushi share the lead preview, “Loop Trail,” a piece originally featured on their 2022 Birthingbodies EP, released shortly before the Columbia Deluxe performance. The live version leans deeper into the minor tonal color and voicing of Chaz’s gentle guitar phrase. Swells of Sage’s synthesizer and Jusell’s violin gracefully rise and bow around the repetition, creating a pensive yet tranquil moment of meditation. Shiroishi incorporates a recording he’s held onto for some time—an interview with a Japanese woman who survived the atomic bomb—a nod to their seasons records and the project’s punk ethos, which refracts through the group’s stylistic diversity.

Kansas City’s Flooding, the trio fronted by Rose Brown, is excited to announce their new EP, object 1, out this summer. To herald the announcement, “your silence is my favorite song” arrives today, exploring the fragility of a self-involved male manipulator, with buzzing guitars and haunting vocal delivery from Brown. “Your bleeding heart, my lucky charm,” is casually sung over building but sparse instrumentation as the song heads towards a breaking point.

“Flooding can be extremely personal most of the time, but I like to explore the perspective of narcissistic villain archetypes sometimes, too,” says Rose Brown. “It’s fun to pretend to be a piece of shit male rock idol for 4 minutes.”

Known primarily for his work as the composer behind the iconic scores for Veronica MarsHigh PotentialiZombieLethal Weapon, and more, Josh Kramon aims to expand his musical opus on the brand new atmospheric folk-rock project, KRAMON. In celebration of Haitian Heritage Month, Grammy-winning producer and DJ Michaël Brun has released a breathtaking live DJ set from the historic La Citadelle Laferrière, located in Cap-Haïtien, Haïti. The full set, now available on YouTube, offers an unforgettable blend of Michaël’s original tracks alongside powerful songs from artists across the African diaspora.

Atop the Bonnet à l’Evêque mountain range, La Citadelle Laferrière stands as one of Haïti’s most iconic national landmarks. Commissioned by Haitian revolutionary Henri Christophe, the fortress stands as a symbol of the country’s resilience and independence. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it holds a special place in the hearts of Haitians and visitors alike, making it the perfect backdrop for Michaël Brun’s captivating performance.

Michaël’s live DJ set serves as a timely tribute to the importance of Haitian culture during Haitian Heritage Month, a celebration of the history, achievements, and contributions of the Haitian people.
