MARIS
“Mary + I”
• MARIS releases “Mary + I,” a track that captures a transformative summer of cannabis, celibacy, and radical self-discovery.
• “‘Mary + I’ started as an homage to weed and celibacy, viewing it in almost a cynical, panicky way. But then I started to get really into yoga and meditation, and doing those things on a gummy changed my life. I had to slow down, breathe, and walk myself through anxiety. Although I had a lot of anxiety about not having sex for literally 4 months or something, I also went on such a deep journey into myself and my spirituality. I learned about the god within myself, and within every atom on earth, and I’ll never forget the celibacy and cannabis-filled liberation of that stoner summer.” — MARIS

French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has unveiled her latest single ‘Surfacing’ out now via ONErpm. The single serves as the third off her TidesEP, following ‘Siren’ and ‘Dark Waters’.
‘Surfacing’ is an uplifting tide in KARABA’s forthcoming five-part journey, embracing the emotive and allegorical themes of the project to develop another layer of sonic storytelling. The track is embedded with textured oceanic samples that provide an immersive balance to the rhythmic drum patterns and ethereal vocal chants drawn from KARABA’s Afro house signature. The result is a deeply meditative and transcendent listening experience that captures both the physical and spiritual essence of emergence that will conclude the upcoming Tides EP.
“‘Surfacing’ is the final single of my EP, where everything comes together. After the tension and high energy of the journey, it feels like a moment of rebirth and arrival—floating above the water, chanting, and embracing the calm after the storm. It’s the sense of finally reaching the destination.” – KARABA

the duo of Jody Fontaine and Baby Boy of hip-hop collective AG Club release the brand new single “Again.” Get it HERE via Epic Records.
The song arrives in tandem with the launch of the Global Access On Tour With AG Club – New Balance 1000 For JD Sports campaign, which stars the duo and features “Again” throughout. View the campaign spot HERE.
“Again” was produced by Beach Noise, UV Killin Em, and Gray Toomey, and as is customary with the fast-rising group, they arrived primed and ready to make it an AG Club summer. The airy and serene production provides a comfortable sonic backdrop that Baby Boy and Fontaine use to toast to the good life — a lifestyle they’ve earned through their diligent ascent in the last few years. Notably, it arrives as the collective’s first new single since their acclaimed 2024 mixtape BRODIE WORLD.
BRODIE WORLD was a bold step in the evolution of AG Club’s sound, fusing playful imagination with an innate sense of aesthetic—a whimsical, masterful, and electric body of work full of sharp technique and raw impulse. Upon release, BRODIE WORLD was met with excitement and critical acclaim. Stereogum praised AG Club’s “day-glo, reckless, youthful charm” while proclaiming that they “exist in their own lane,” while Alternative Press called the mixtape a “tremendous experiment in having fun that, despite being ‘made for their friends,’ we all benefit greatly from.” Uproxx noted the “unique production” of BRODIE WORLD, which “carries the[eir] laid-back, anything-goes raps, and it’s clear these guys are just having fun with it.” HYPEBEAST highlighted the “contagious candor” of the rap duo, while Ones To Watch commented upon release of the mixtape, “the Bay Area’s AG Club is everyone’s favorite secret, though the secret is certainly starting to get out.” Pigeons and Planes got right to the point: “We’ve been waiting for this album!”

Miami-based producer/DJ Julian Sacheli (and ½ of the duo Black V Neck) is branching out with a new single ‘Be Alone’ out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary. ‘Be Alone’ serves as Sacheli’s first solo release in eight years and follows Black V Neck’s ‘Check My Brain’ earlier this year.
‘Be Alone’ is a clever double entendre that marks a pivotal new chapter in Julian Sacheli’s career. The aptly title tracks sees Sacheli venture off on his own while honing the contemplative touches that distinguish his sound from that of Black V Neck’s. Arpeggiated melodies, quirky deep-tech rhythms, and punctuated percussion give shape around an introspective vocal sample that reframes loneliness as a form of escapism. ‘Be Alone’ is a surprisingly nuanced offering, signaling a more reflective and personal direction for Julian Sacheli’s growing solo catalog.
“This is my first solo release in 8 years so I’m excited and nervous at the same time! Either way I’m ecstatic to do it with Dirtybird who have been supporting me for years now.” – Julian Sacheli

Angela Saini brings feel-good vibes wherever she goes with her toe-tapping blend of rootsy folk-pop and sing-along storytelling. Her songs—filled with heart, courage, and joy—are all about second chances and stepping into your power. A 2020 Independent Music Award Finalist for “Best Alt Country” and winner of a Toronto Independent Music Award, Angela’s uplifting spirit shines through in every performance. She’s toured across Canada, Germany, England, and The Netherlands, earning praise from BBC Radio as “massively talented,” and reaching listeners across North America on CBC Radio, Stingray, and Sirius XM.
Prairie-raised and proudly Indian-Austrian Canadian, Angela’s music defies boxes and celebrates authenticity. She’s been blazing her own trail— from starting a rock band at age 15 in Calgary, to moving to Toronto’s indie scene. Angela has built her career on defining herself on her own terms, one empowering, feel-good anthem at a time. Her blend of roots-pop charm shines through in new offering “Puzzle Piece,” a joyful anthem about embracing individuality and celebrating her uniqueness that contributes to life’s bigger picture.
“As a bi-racial child, I grew up without a firm concept of where I fit in. I felt like an outsider when I would go to the Hindu temple growing up, and was also a gifted, nerdy kid in school on the fringes of the cool kids. I realize now that my uniqueness is a strength, and that every experience of not fitting in has shaped who I am today. In fact, it is the fuel that feeds the fire of my creative pursuits and how I define myself as part of the greater whole.”
Her upcoming album Remember Who You Are, to be released later this year, is a tribute to resilience, self-discovery, and being seen. The upcoming single captures the joy of realizing that we’re each meant to be exactly who we are, with all our unique colors and edges. “Puzzle Piece” is a catchy anthem of self-love, reminding us that every unique piece matters—and together, we create the bigger, more beautiful picture.
“Puzzle Piece is a reminder that life isn’t about fitting in- it’s about standing out. Every unique piece makes the whole picture better, so be colourful, be loud, and OWN your place in the puzzle.”

Twenty years into its existence, indie folk rock collective Octoberman’s latest single, We Used To Talk of Death, reckons with aging and the evolution of relationships, both to people and places. The regular lineup of Marc Morrissette (vocals, guitar), Marshall Bureau (drums), Tavo Diez de Bonilla (bass, background vocals), J.J. Ipsen (acoustic guitar) and Annelise Noronha (background vocals) was recorded primarily straight to tape and live off the floor by Jarrett Bartlett (Howe Gelb, The Acorn, Jim Bryson) at Little Bullhorn studios in Ottawa, Ontario.
Described as “Stephen Malkmus at his loosest” by Pitchfork, and “like a sunnier Elliott Smith or Sparklehorse” by Uncut Magazine, Octoberman’s songs have garnered numerous television placements, including a prominent spot on Grey’s Anatomy. Having toured regularly across North America, the UK and Europe, Octoberman has shared stages with acts such as Owen Pallett, Chad VanGaalen, Sam Amidon, Mount Eerie and Julie Doiron. After long stints in Vancouver and Toronto, members are currently spread across Ontario.

Puma June, an “emerging Canadian artist you need to hear” (Exclaim!), is a Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. With an eclectic array of influences from Stevie Wonder to Billie Eilish and everything in between, June’s music is a unique blend of pop, funk, hip-hop, and R&B – a genre-bending sound that is both nostalgic and distinctive to the listener. With a clear political point of view, Puma June’s feminist-laced songwriting pushes unfiltered honesty and centres around regaining power in one’s life, with a particular focus on women’s/gender issues, familial trauma, and the battle of self-doubt as an artist.
At 6 years old, June began her musical journey on the violin, training classically in Suzuki method. She played in various orchestras in and around her hometown of Barrie, Ontario throughout her formative years, including Orillia Youth Symphony Orchestra and later Huronia Symphony Orchestra. As June began highschool, the self-taught guitarist, pianist, and vocalist expanded her musical endeavors and she was a part of various folk and indie-rock bands. This included a folk duo with her sister, “Shanti & Vale”, backup vocalist for folk-rock band, “Hungry Lake”, and backup vocalist and violinist in indie-rock band, “House Art”. After highschool, June stepped away from music for a time and completed a nursing degree at university. When the pandemic hit in 2020, June, just having started work as a nurse in Toronto at the time, began to find her own sound for the first time in her musical career. “Puma June”, was born. After recommitting to a life of music, June released her debut self-produced single, “Lost Years” at the end of 2022. June’s interest in production grew, and in 2022-2023 she completed Seneca College’s ‘Independent Music Production’ Program.

San Diego’s sullvn releases their brand new single “Rooftop.” Kicking in with the horn section at the forefront, the upbeat and full-bodied offering expresses the all-consuming elation of a new love. Singing of feeling so high that you can’t come down, the lyrical excitement is perfectly matched by the energy the band brings to the track — Stream.
Led by Robert “Sully” Sullivan, the ever-changing collective is built up of what Creative Executive Lens dubbed “a sonic melting pot of elite players.” The current lineup includes the GRAMMY-nominated bassist James East (Lionel Richie, Toni Braxton, Eric Clapton), the dynamic drummer Tres “Sojourn” Hodgens, globally renowned saxophonist Tomoka Nomura-Jarvis (Andy Grammer, Rob Wave, Fat Joe), and many others. A Southern California party in sonic form, sullvn breaks the mold as they soundtrack everything from a windows-down joyride to a swanky night at the lounge.
“Rooftop” was produced and co-written by Rome Ramirez, known for his work with Sublime with Rome, Selena Gomez, Dirty Heads, Enrique Iglesias and more, during a writing trip in Nashville. Hitting it off naturally, Ramirez has a hand in much of sullvn’s releases this year.
Sully shared that, “This track is pure upbeat adrenaline and heart. It’s about those late-night moments that feel like they could last forever — dancing under stars and falling hard for someone who makes you feel a certain way.”
Brothers, Tanner and Peyton Whitt, performing as the adrenalized alt-pop duo RAGS AND RICHES, bring high energy hope to inspire a generation of dreamers. Hailing from Lexington, Kentucky, these brothers aren’t just making music—they’re crafting anthems that ignite souls.
Addiction wears many masks. It lures, it seduces, and it always comes with a cost. The duo’s latest single “Devil In Disguise” dives headfirst into that high-stakes world, painting a picture of temptation and consequence through the glitz and glamor of a blackjack table. They explain, “Inspired by the struggles of Elvis Presley but written for anyone facing their own personal battles, this song pulls back the curtain on the enticing yet destructive nature of addiction.”
From the opening lines, the neon lights flash, the crowd watches, and the thrill of the game is intoxicating. But underneath the surface, the cracks begin to show. He knows the risks, knows right from wrong, but the pull is too strong. The devil whispers sweet lies, dressed like an angel, offering another fix, another hand, another escape. The stakes are high, and so is he.
With a driving rhythm and electrifying melodies, “Devil In Disguise” captures the dangerous dance between indulgence and destruction. It’s a story of glamour and despair, of winning big and losing it all. The metaphor of blackjack mirrors the cycle of addiction—placing another bet, hoping for a win, only to find yourself trapped in a losing game.
The brothers share ”This song isn’t just about one man’s struggle; it’s about the universal battle against our own vices. Whether it’s substance abuse, gambling, or any addiction that keeps pulling us back in, “Devil In Disguise” serves as both a warning and an anthem. The devil may wear a beautiful face, but in the end, the cost is always too high.”
