The Scrubs reboot has been given the greenlight by ABC. Scrubs was a popular medical sitcom created by Bill Lawrence that premiered in October 2021. The show — which starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, and more, had 9 successful seasons before ending in 2010. Now Deadline is reporting that the Scrubs reboot is officially happening. Braff will reprise his role as John Michael “J.D.” Dorian, as will Chalke as Elliot Reid and Faison as Christopher Turk.
“The new series will follow JD Dorian (Braff) and Christopher Turk (Faison), who scrub in together for the first time in a long time — medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time,” Deadline’s description of the new show reads. “Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart, and some surprises along the way.”
