Forgetmyname is back with a vibrant new single, “setmefree,” a dance-driven track that blends feel-good energy with emotional depth. Known for mixing pop with nostalgic alternative tones, the Bridgeport, CT-raised and Raleigh-based artist takes a bold step into electronic and dance pop territory with this release.

Durry, a brother/sister indie rock band from Minneapolis, MN have announced details surrounding their forthcoming new album, ‘This Movie Sucks’ to be released June 27 via Thirty Tigers. With the announcement comes the release of their new single and title track “This Movie Sucks” streaming now on all digital platforms, here: https://orcd.co/d-tms-s. The official music video for the song will premiere this Friday, April 4 on YouTube at 11am CT at this link: https://youtu.be/X5sBJI1pQCQ
Composed of Austin and Taryn Durry, the band is known for their wry, tongue in cheek lyrics about the futility of adulthood and the world at large. Their song “Who’s Laughing Now” took off on Tiktok, amassing six million streams with listeners resonating with coming of age frustrations. It helped songs from their debut album ‘Suburban Legend’ see mentions with publications like Rolling Stone and Ones To Watch and debut at number four on the Alternative New Artist Chart.
‘This Movie Sucks’, the band’s sophomore effort, produced by Phil Odom (Code Orange, Turnover, Say Anything), has a bit of everything for everyone. The sound is wildly diverse, taking Durry’s established sound and stretching it further than ever before. With strong punk rock sensibilities in songs like “Bully” and “Start a Band” alongside the folksy sounds of “The Long Goodbye” and “Slug Bug”, the album is a wild ride from start to finish – tailor made for those reliving the energetic angst of the rock scene in the early aughts. Lyrically, ‘This Movie Sucks’ touches on universal themes such as prolonged grief, the toxic nature of Internet culture and remembering loved ones.
“Honestly the process of making this record has been a dream come true for us,” says Austin Durry. “We’ve always recorded in basements, and home studios whenever we could find time and finances to make it happen. But for this record we were finally able to get into a big studio with a completed body of work and just bang out a whole album. It felt so good, and I think that really shines through these songs.”

Mythology evokes images of gods, titans, demons, and beasts of every kind. Yet, it’s the spark of humanity that keeps us telling and retelling myths. It’s these stories of seduction, inheritance, and hubris that Nashville-based folk duo Haunted Like Human rekindle in the 14 songs on their third album American Mythology, out October 17th.Since the release of2021’sTall Tales & Fables, Dale Chapman(they/them) and Cody Clark(he/him) have been refining their sound rather than departing from it. The result is a shapely set of songs that borrow from universal lore in order to reveal intimate truths. “I feel like it’s my background in fiction that really started us down the path of centering storytelling. It’s what I know and instinctually reach for, and we’ve found a way to make that a cornerstone of what we do,” says Chapman. Take lead single “Married in Savannah,” out June 27th.It’s a bittersweet folk-pop number about watching someone close to you change. The themes are universal whether describing a lover, a friend, or anyone else.“ What a shame to see a wild thing be tamed,” Chapman sings, their voice akin to Florence Welch’s mezzo-soprano. Grounded in the context of Southern religion, the song offers rich details about the chapel’s blue stained glass and the groom“ shining like his family name.”

Frame and Mantle has today released their new single “Green Grove Zone”, streaming now here. The song is the latest from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Well Of Light, which is set to be released on June 27th. Featuring recent singles “Standstill” and “Down A Thousand”, Well of Light was recorded with Larry Luther at Mr. Smalls Recording Studio in Pittsburgh. The album is now available for pre-order and pre-save.
“This song was the last song we finished for the album, and those songs usually end up being our favorite of the bunch. ‘Green Grove Zone’ is no exception, and we feel it presents a window into where our band’s sound and style is heading in the future,” the band shares.
They continue: “Stylistically, it kind of blends our old (like “first EP” old) Title Fight-inspired sound with a more melodic Taking Back Sunday-esque vocal delivery. It’s a driving indie-punk cut that features lyrics grappling with feelings of anxiety consuming someone in a relationship.”
Post-emo pioneers Frame and Mantle formed in 2014 in northwest Pennsylvania. Now based in Pittsburgh, the band’s previous releases, 2016’s While Our Fields Lie Fallow EP, 2019’s debut full length Lost Under Nighttime Sky, and the 2023 EP Above a Burning World, embraced both post-rock builds and textures and emo-indebted urgency. Frame and Mantle will be releasing their long-awaited sophomore album, titled Well of Light, on June 27, 2025.

Silverstein unleashes one of their most ambitious singles yet with “Drain The Blood”, featuring Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker. Out now via UNFD, the track arrives alongside a gripping new video, watch here.
“Each time I start making an album I have a self-imposed rule: I can’t abandon my first idea. Whatever I start on day one, I have to finish. Usually the song ends up in the trash, but this time it was ‘Drain the Blood,’ which is my favourite song of the entire project – maybe our entire career,” shares guitarist Paul Marc Rousseau.
“The premise of the song is very simple: keep your AI out of my art. I wanted every part of the song to feel unexpected and a little out-of-context. Irrational and human. Like, an AI would have never made these choices. The lyrics are irreverent and over-dramatic, but only time will tell if they’re completely science fiction.”
He continues: “My favourite moment of the song is when Rory enters with ‘Can I be honest now? I don’t see a way we get beyond this hell.’ The line just feels so right with him singing it. It’s like he’s the voice of reason and even he feels defeated by technology. He almost goes through the five stages of grief and recaps the whole concept in 20 seconds.”

Dedicated to high-level performance and arts-integrated education, Northern California-based arts organization Musica Sierra announces the August 1 release of Garden, the fifth installment in its Musical Headwaters series. This collection of albums commissioned by Musica Sierra is intended to deepen children’s understanding of themselves and nature, with a goal of helping them become stronger environmental stewards.
Created by mothers and fathers who want to share their love of music and the natural world with all children, Garden brings together for the first time two powerhouse, Grammy-nominated ensembles: The Nightbirds (Ashley Hoyer, Samantha Harvey, and Jade Hendrix) and Fire & Grace (William Coulter and Edwin Huizinga). Musica Sierra is proud to introduce this collaboration as its first BIPOC-led performing group.
Garden is more than a children’s album – it’s an invitation to slow down, observe, wonder, and grow. The songs tell the story of a garden’s seasons: from planting seeds in spring to summer’s growth, fall’s harvest, and winter’s rest. It’s about the cycles of life in the soil beneath our feet, the air we breathe, and the food that nourishes us.

Pharmacists return with their fourth single, In the Middle –a poignant, introspective track that gently explores themes of trauma and hope.
Songwriter Will Porteous penned the piece following the loss of his father, Mark, who passed away after a six-week battle with meningitis when Will was just 22. Before that, Will endured the emotional toll of boarding school, an experience that left lasting scars. The opening lines of the song confront this pain head-on.
At its heart, In the Middle is about holding on to whatever joy and hope remain, and finding a space both literal and emotional – for refuge and reflection.
Pharmacists have forged a powerful combination with a blend of soaring choruses and emotionally raw lyrics that resonate with the real-life journeys so many face. This is indie rock at its most honest and moving.

Alt-pop artist Natalie Holmes is set to release her highly anticipated second album, Opposite Day, on 17/10/25.
Following the success of her debut self-produced album, Vitamin Be (2022), Natalie’s new project takes listeners on a kaleidoscopic journey through the paradoxes of human existence. Like Alice down the rabbit hole, we tumble together through accidental worlds of style and sound that mirror the disorienting beauty of being alive today.
Reaching her arms wide, ’Opposite Day’ involves a team of outrageously talented musicians – Boci, violin; Rob Pemberton, drums & mix, Alex Heane, bass & William J Stokes, co-production – Holmes proudly prepares to release this collection of genre- blurring alt-pop that ping-pongs between introspective ballads and upbeat anthems. With influences ranging from Caroline Polachek & Aurora to The Japanese House & Bon Iver, Opposite Day continues to showcase Natalie’s signature blend of ethereal vocals and thought-provoking lyrics.
Prepare to be taken through a sea of strange yet magical imagery with ‘Bird Song’, as Natalie hits on the strange concept that whenever we are feeling low, someone else is feeling high. Perhaps there’s a give and take to it, and we are constantly passing around the baton of joy.Quirky vocal samples and weaving classical guitars lure you into this clockwork fantasy of snow rooms and birds nests, moving through worlds ofvocoder, lush drums and ethereal pads.
Natalie’s musical journey has already seen a sea of milestones. After starting with grainy YouTube videos in 2010, she’s since released several EPs, collaborations, and her debut album, Vitamin Be, which received praise from BBC Radio 2, BBC 6, Clash, and EARMILK. In 2016, she joined Above & Beyond as a lead vocalist on their Acoustic World Tour, performing at legendary venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Royal Albert Hall.
Her solo material has captured the attention of fans and critics alike, with Tom Robinson on BBC 6 calling her work “fresh, adventurous, and really assured.”
“An inspired return from a songwriter we will enjoy watching develop over the coming months and years,” wrote Clash about her debut. And indeed, with Opposite Day on the horizon, Natalie is poised to continue that trajectory—finding new ways to connect with listeners through her rivers of wordplay and arresting reflections on the human condition.
