The game launched in 1981 with the first installment titled Castle Wolfenstein. Thirteen sequels were made from then on, including Wolfenstein 3D which started the franchise’s shift to first-person shooting games.

The Wolfenstein show will be created, written, and executive produced Patrick Somerville. It will be executive produced by Jonah Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham for Kilter Films.
