INsiders Guide: Colbie Caillat, Rezz, LOUD LUXURY, ABSOLUTELY, AMPRS&ND…

GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat continues her successful streak of resonant collaborations with new single, “Can’t Say No,” featuring multi-platinum, chart-topping artist Ryan Hurd. Together, they deliver an intimate, modern take on love, timing, and the ties that linger long after a breakup.

• “I think so many people can relate to this story. It’s really hard to make a clean break these days. Seeing an ex on social media can pull you right back in, even when you know it’s not what’s best for you – especially after a few drinks.” — Colbie Caillat

• This song follows her recent collaborations, “Realize” featuring Mitchell Tenpenny and “If You Love Me Let Me Go” with Russell Dickerson. These tracks offer a preview of more new music coming later this year.

Canadian producer and DJ Rezz today announces her forthcoming fifth studio album As The Pendulum Swings, set to arrive September 12. Building off recent singles ‘Contorted’ and ‘Telepathy’, the announcement comes with a new single ‘Prophecy’ out now via HypnoVizion

Brimming with shadowy grandeur, ‘Prophecy’ signals a bold evolution in Rezz’s artistry as the opener to her impending full-length album. The track is an entrancing whirlwind of tech-driven melodies and industrial basslines, capturing the matured nuance and intricate sound design imbued throughout the new project. Mechanical yet deeply cinematic, it reveals a sharpened edge to Rezz’s signature sound, one that thrives in tension, contrast, and restraint.

“‘Prophecy’ is the intro track to my album and best describes the direction that I am going and will continue to go. This track pulls from my greatest influences – alongside my own signature sounds – and puts it all into one place. Really proud of how this turned out. I feel that this showcases a matured version of my music while still keeping a core vibe that will feel familiar to my audience.” – Rezz

rising UK star Absolutely responds to fans’ demands by releasing her soaring new single “I Just Don’t Know You Yet,” a hopeful ballad that centers her sky-high vocals and gift for making big emotions feel remarkably intimate.

Get “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” HERE at all DSPs via Epic Records.

With instant-classic energy, “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” opens on huge piano hits, warm record static, and Absolutely’s hauntingly soulful voice painting a vivid picture of the artist dreaming about a less lonely future: “I been talking to you, I been writing stories in my head / Of how it’s gonna go, when I know that I know, it’s you I’ll spend forever with.” As the song goes on, she’s joined by crashing cymbals and surging guitar, underscoring the massive chorus: “I just don’t know you yet / But I know you’ve been sent from God to teach me to love again / Because I think I must’ve forgot / Oh, how to love / Oh, and how to be loved.”

San Francisco-based female producer/DJ AMPRS&ND is back with a new solo single ‘Sorry’ out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.

A bold addition to Dirtybird’s anniversary catalog, ‘Sorry’ captures the tension between grit and groove that sets AMPRS&ND apart. Built around an entrancing vocal loop and driving bassline, ‘Sorry’ weaves together tight, punchy drums and moody synth work to deliver an after-hours feel that’s both cathartic and club-ready. Syncopated hi-hats flicker in and out against arpeggiated melodies, creating a hypnotic rhythm that draws the listener in with each bar.

“I tried to strike a balance between something beautiful and something hard and gritty. I love the contrast between the somber melody and dreamy chords against the heavy leads. In the breakdown, I envisioned being swallowed by a whale with the water plugging your ears, and you’re lost for a second and disoriented. Then you float back up to the surface and the whale spits you out into the drop.” – AMPRS&ND

Emerging UK pop star Flo Gallop bursts back onto the scene with her vibrant new alt-pop single, Famous – the first taste of her highly anticipated debut EP. Already generating buzz ahead of its official release, the track earned an early spin on BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop, where tastemaker Jodie Bryant declared on-air: “Flo is a groovy chick and such a pop star, I hope everyone listening loves this song as much as I do.” With Famous, Flo opens an exciting new chapter in her career, delivering bold energy and undeniable charm. Expect big things from her this year.

In her third single of the year, singer-songwriter Alice Phoebe Lou has released the assertively delicate piano ballad “Old Shadows.” Continuing to open her treasure trove of tucked away storytelling from the last decade, the cinematic new song is simple while still so intricately impactful. She showcases the strength and the softness of her voice as she feels overcrowded by the past. While listening, it’s hard to not feel as if you’re sitting alone in the parlor being serenaded by Alice herself, shutting out the rest of the world — Stream.

“I dug this one out of the vault of songs I wrote in my twenties that felt too personal and sincere to see the light of day,” Lou recollects. “When I took it out of its hiding place and played around with it, I felt such a deep sense of love and care for my younger self and all she was going through when she wrote this song. It’s the age-old tale of struggling to receive real love after so much hurt and confusion. Recognizing the shadows of past painful loves that haunt you and admitting to yourself how hard it is to get used to being loved and accepted and treated well. It’s been beautiful to come back to this song and relive the moment that I understood my worth and accepted someone’s love and care.”

Chicago-based psych rock trio Daisychain share their rich, electrifying debut album All In A Name, produced by renowned producer, mixer and engineer Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Prince) out everywhere now. Alongside the full punchy project, the band pens an ode to being young and impulsive with “G-String,” a summery, vibrant pop-leaning track, and DIY music video, that documents a girls trip in Vegas that may or may not have involved a corporate lawyer and seemingly limitless funds.

Daisychain recently completed the Southwest leg of the She’s A Freak tour including their special hometown record release in Chicago. Next month, they’ll move through much of the Midwest and Colorado, and will move through Germany, Denmark and Austria this fall. In September, they’ll support Chicago funk/soul rocker Neal Francis. See all dates at daisychainmusic.net/tour-dates.

The band’s incredibly high energy live show was praised by Culture Flux in Texas who wrote,

“[Daisychain] light up the room with pure rock ‘n roll energy from the first song to the last..catchy melodies, blues-filled groove, and soulful delivery.” Several publications like Melodic Magazine, Psychedelic Scene MagazineNewcity Chicago and The Indy Review praise its vast sonic palette, versatility and raw lyricism.

Mustard Service is an indie rock band based in Miami, Florida, known for their vibrant mix of surfy guitars, jazzy rhythms, and Latin flair. Self-described as “zest pop,” their sound blends rock, funk, bossa nova, and soul with Cuban, Uruguayan, Argentinian, and Mexican influences, reflecting the cultural roots of its members. The band features Marco Rivero Ochoa on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Leo Cattani on keys, and Adam Perez on drums.

Their new single “2AM” offers a fresh twist on their evolving sound, entirely in Spanish and steeped in late-night longing. With a smooth, soulful melody, jazzy undertones, and a laid-back groove, “2AM” captures the kind of intimacy that only surfaces in the early hours. “The later it is, the easier it is to feel close to someone,” the band explains. “It’s beautiful because it’s fleeting, not despite it.” Rich with poetic imagery and romantic nostalgia, the song reflects on the quiet magic between two people who know their time together is borrowed. It’s a hauntingly beautiful track about love, trust, and the spaces we fill in each other’s lives, if only for a moment.

“2AM” is the latest offering from their upcoming album Vice City Magic, set to release on July 18th. The album promises a new chapter for Mustard Service, one that deepens their genre-blurring approach while embracing intimacy and storytelling with more nuance than ever before. To celebrate, the band will hit the road this summer for their Vice City Magic Tour, bringing their dynamic live show to nearly 30 cities across the U.S.

With sold-out headlining shows at venues like LA’s El Rey Theatre and support slots for the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Mustard Service continues to build momentum. With Vice City Magic on the horizon and their most ambitious tour yet, 2025 is shaping up to be their breakout year.
