Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming animated sports comedy GOAT is upping the ante with a fresh round of voice talent added to its roster. Set to hit theaters in 2026, the film will now feature Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King), chart-topping artist Jelly Roll, TV personality Ayesha Curry (Ayesha’s Homemade), comedian Andrew Santino (The Disaster Artist), Bobby Lee (MADtv), Sherry Cola (Joy Ride), and Eduardo Franco (Stranger Things).
These newcomers join an already impressive lineup that includes Stephen Curry, Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, and Patton Oswalt.

Plot Summary:
Set in a vibrant animal-centric world, GOAT is a high-energy action comedy that follows the story of Will — a pint-sized goat with oversized aspirations. When Will gets the chance to compete professionally in “roarball” — a fierce, co-ed, full-contact sport played by the fastest and most powerful creatures — he faces serious skepticism from his new teammates. Undeterred, Will is determined to break boundaries and prove that even the smallest players can dominate the game.
Behind the Scenes:
The film is helmed by Emmy-nominated director Tyree Dillihay, known for his work on Bob’s Burgers, Good Times, and Da Jammies. Adam Rosette (Harvey Girls Forever) joins as co-director. The project is a collaboration between Unanimous Media’s Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton, and Modern Magic’s Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Adam Rosenberg, and Rodney Rothman. David Schulenburg serves as co-producer, while Rick Mischel and Fonda Snyder are on board as executive producers.
Release Plans:
Produced in partnership with the NBA, GOAT is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 13, 2026 — perfectly timed to coincide with NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles (Feb. 13–15).
