Dan Fogelman, creator of This Is Us, is reuniting with another star from his beloved NBC drama for a new project. Mandy Moore has joined the cast of Hulu’s upcoming untitled football drama as a series regular, alongside Christopher Meloni and William H. Macy.
The series, set in the NFL, blends generational family dynamics with the high-stakes world of professional football. Moore will portray Lauren, the daughter of team owner Hank Durkin (Macy) and his presumed successor. Meloni stars as Danny Roarke, the team’s head coach.
Produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, the show is written and executive produced by Fogelman, with Jess Rosenthal and Kevin Falls also serving as executive producers. Skydance Sports’ David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed are executive producers as well, with the division retaining the Skydance name post-merger with Paramount Global.
