Netflix has announced that “Emily in Paris” will return for its fifth season, premiering on December 18. The streaming platform has also released several first-look images from the upcoming episodes, confirming that Emily (played by Lily Collins) will spend at least part of the season in Venice, Italy. The official synopsis for Season 5 describes Emily as now leading Agence Grateau Rome, navigating professional and romantic challenges as she adjusts to life in a new city. Just when things seem to settle, a work project backfires, leading to heartbreak and career setbacks. In search of stability, Emily leans into her French roots, but a significant secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Through honesty in conflict, she emerges with stronger connections, clearer insight, and an openness to new opportunities.


Alongside Lily Collins, the season features returning cast members Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque.
“Emily in Paris” is created, written, and executive produced by Darren Star. Collins also serves as a producer. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media, with executive producers including Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy.
