Demi Lovato Celebrates Birthday, Releases “Fast (Extended Cut),” and “Fast (Zac Samuels Remix)”

GRAMMY-nominated global superstar Demi Lovato celebrates her 33rd birthday by releasing a remix package of her hit single “Fast,” the lead track from her upcoming ninth studio album. The collection features an extended version of the song, lasting 4 minutes and 45 seconds, crafted by Zhone, who also serves as the album’s executive producer and the original producer of the track. Additionally, the bundle includes a remix by British DJ Zac Samuels, along with an extended Zac Samuels remix. Perfect for energizing dance floors this weekend, the remix bundle is available HERE.

Demi’s recent weeks have been packed with excitement: “Fast” has garnered widespread critical praise, and she has sparked viral moments with her triumphant return to The Bigg Chill—a surprise party drop-in in Los Angeles—and a reunion performance with the Jonas Brothers at MetLife Stadium. And this is only the beginning.

The official music video for “Fast,” directed by Daniel Sachon, showcases a transformed Demi—free from past scars and unfazed by chaos. The visuals embody her new era, marked by a fresh perspective, clarity, and a sense of full control. Her final look to the camera signals her emergence into this new chapter on her own terms—signaling the start of an exciting new phase.

As previously reported by Rolling Stone, Demi’s ninth studio album, described as “celebratory dance-pop,” is on the horizon. Her executive producer Zhone shared insights about working with Demi, saying, “It’s been so inspiring collaborating with Demi and witnessing her continuous growth. She’s a true master in the studio. This album is about letting go of inhibitions, and we had an incredible time making this music. That energy really comes through in the final product.”

To mark her birthday, Demi hosted a viral karaoke party with friends, where she performed covers like Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” for her husband, Jordan Lutes (“Jutes”), and delivered an impressive recreation of Elphaba’s battle cry from “Wicked”. Her “Wicked” performance even received praise from Cynthia Erivo, who commented on and reshared the video earlier today.
