Ivory Daze signs with Quiet Panic, releases crushing new single “IV League”

Ivory Daze, a rising grunge and shoegaze trio from Lincoln, Nebraska, are making moves. The band announced their signing to Quiet Panic, home to M.U.T.T. and Slow Crush, and revealed the first taste of their next chapter: the searing new single “IV League,” out now with an accompanying music video. The track will appear on their upcoming EP “Chlorine,” out October 17.

“IV League’ is a very important song to me, written about a deeply personal time in my life,” guitarist and vocalist Isahen Harms shared. “We think it’s the perfect introduction to our new sound and direction for this EP — pairing well with a tequila sunrise and your choice of geekbar. It was created with the intent of blending heavy music elements like blast beats with pop sensibilities.”

Ivory Daze flourished through authenticity. The group was formed by three close friends — Harms on guitar, vocals, and lyrics, Maeve Nelson on drums, and Van Foster on bass. The trio also earned success the old-fashioned way: through relentless touring, long drives, and the kind of growing pains that shape a band into something bigger than themselves.
That grit echoes through each note of “IV League,” a song that thrives on chaos but never lets go of melody.

Describing the group’s sound, Harm simply put, “I just write pop songs with distortion.”
That said, Nelson and Foster’s adventurous rhythm section twists and churns beneath Harms’ vocals, crafting a storm of shoegaze haze, grunge grit and punk bite.

The Review Geek wrote, “There is a massive Nirvana influence rippling through every moment.”

Through “Chlorine,” Ivory Daze nods to the greats of the ’80s and ’90s, while simultaneously staying true to their unique sound, determined to carve their own path.

With the EP’s upcoming release, expect to see Ivory Daze hit the live stage soon as they push further into the push-pull between noise and beauty, chaos and clarity.
