A new teaser for Gen V Season 2 offers a glimpse into Marie Moreau’s alliance with Starlight. The promo also hints at Cipher’s emergence as Godolkin’s new dean and expands on the ongoing conflict between humans and superpowered individuals, established in the first season.

Picking up after The Boys Season 4, Gen V Season 2 follows Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) and her classmates as they return to Godolkin University. The upcoming season features eight episodes, with the first three debuting on premiere day and the remaining episodes releasing weekly through October 22.

The teaser reveals Marie teaming up with Starlight (Erin Moriarty), setting the stage for a major crossover with The Boys. Cipher (Hamish Linklater) takes on the role of dean and enforces a militarized curriculum at the university. Meanwhile, Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) are introduced as the “Guardians of Godolkin.” Returning cast members include Lizze Broadway, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Sean Patrick Thomas, with Ethan Slater joining as Thomas Godolkin, the school’s founder.

The footage also hints at Project Odessa, a covert program dating back to World War II, suggesting a deeper connection between Gen V and The Boys. The trailer features appearances by Homelander (Antony Starr), Firecracker (Valorie Curry), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward). Sister Sage continues her role as an ally to Homelander. The teaser is filled with explosions, confrontations, and clashes between humans and supes.

Regarding Marie, producer Eric Kripke shared with Entertainment Weekly, “If she can control everybody’s blood, then what can’t she do? How is she not the most powerful superhero on the planet?” Jaz Sinclair added, “I like that she’s an underdog, and I love that she’s a Black woman, too. This super sexist, patriarchal villain. I’d love to see him get his comeuppance from a Black woman.”

The season also pays tribute to the late actor Chance Perdomo. Showrunner Michele Fazekas explained to Variety, “It felt really important. The thing I’m most proud of is that he’s present throughout the entire season, in a way that feels genuine.”

The Boys spin-off will return with Season 2 on September 17, 2025.
