The highly acclaimed series The White Lotus has announced its next destination for Season 4, with creator Mike White and HBO choosing a new country for the upcoming adventure. According to a recent report from Deadline, France will serve as the backdrop for the series’ next installment.
While the specific location within France has not yet been revealed, the show has historically filmed at Four Seasons hotels, which narrows down the options. Deadline suggests three possible sites: the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the luxurious Megève resort in the French Alps, and Hotel George V in Paris.
Details about the plot and setting for Season 4 remain largely under wraps. However, creator Mike White has expressed a desire to move away from beach environments. In an interview following the Season 3 finale, White mentioned his hope to “escape the crashing waves of rocks” and explore a different setting. If he maintains this vision, a hotel in the French Alps could offer a dramatically different and intriguing backdrop.
Last season, The White Lotus was set in Thailand, with filming taking place in Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui. Season 3 featured an ensemble cast including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood, Sam Rockwell, Scott Glenn, Natasha Rothwell, and Jon Gries.
