Mimi Webb Releases Album ‘CONFESSIONS’

British pop star Mimi Webb boldly enters a new phase with the release of her highly anticipated second album, Confessions, available today through Epic Records. The album features the shimmering lead single “I Met A Boy,” showcasing her most daring and personal work yet.

With Confessions, Mimi is opening up like never before. Crafted between Los Angeles and London, the album marks a fearless evolution—an honest journey through heartbreak, empowerment, and self-discovery, all while delivering the uplifting pop anthems that first brought her fame.

“I’m so proud of this album,” Mimi shares. “Confessions has helped me grow both as a person and as an artist. The themes I explored in these songs taught me a lot about myself and boosted my confidence. I’m also really proud of the creative side of this project—every video, photoshoot, and detail reflects who I am. This is the most authentic ‘me’ I’ve ever been.”

The album’s shining focus track, “I Met A Boy,” is a vibrant pop song about avoiding heartbreak and reclaiming her strength. With playful, honest lyrics like “I’m over boys that waste my time,” Mimi turns frustration into empowerment, blending vulnerability with resilience into an infectious tune.

Speaking about “I Met A Boy,” Mimi explains, “It’s one of the more unique songs on the album. I had fun experimenting with a more R&B sound, which I haven’t explored much in my music until now. I’m excited to develop this style further. The song is pretty relatable—most of us have flirted with someone only to find they’re already taken, so I hope many people connect with it.”

A key emotional moment on the album is “You Don’t Look At Me The Same,” a stripped-down ballad featuring minimal production and raw vocals. It captures the heartbreak of watching a close relationship fade, building to a poignant plea: “Please tell me I’m not seeing straight, what’s changed? Oh, you don’t look at me the same.” On “I Love You For Me,” co-written with Amy Allen and John Ryan, Mimi challenges traditional love songs, asking for genuine commitment with the line, “Don’t you ruin, I love you for me.” She also embraces independence in “Love Language” (WATCH), celebrating freedom from labels and expectations.

Elsewhere, “Crashing Out”—a collaboration with GRAMMY-winning artist Meghan Trainor, following their playful track “Mind Reader”—pulses with energetic urgency. “Side Effects” explores the addictive highs and lows of heartbreak, while the bold “Narcissist,” one of Mimi’s fiercest tracks yet, delivers a fiery farewell. It premiered recently on Apple Music’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe.

“The lyrics in ‘Narcissist’ are so real,” Mimi says. “I don’t think I’ve ever shared so much about a past relationship. Writing it helped me say things I wish I’d said before. We’ve all dated narcissists, and I hope this song helps others move on.”

Throughout the album’s 12 tracks, Mimi collaborated with a talented circle of writers and producers—including Amy Allen, Julia Michaels, Jason Evigan, and Jordan Riley—to realize her most personal vision. The result is a record that showcases her strength, vulnerability, and the euphoric spirit of pop.
