Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning are preparing to reunite for a new legal drama series produced by A24. According to Deadline, both actresses will star in Discretion, a series penned by author Chandler Baker, who is adapting her own unpublished short story.
Set in Dallas, the series draws partly from Baker’s personal experience as a corporate attorney. Baker previously worked in Washington, D.C., before relocating to Dallas to work with a major sports franchise.
This marks the fourth collaboration between Kidman and Fanning in recent times. They previously starred together in Sofia Coppola’s gothic thriller The Beguiled and the sci-fi romantic comedy How To Talk To Girls At Parties. The duo is also set to appear in the upcoming series Margo’s Got Money Problems. It’s currently unknown which network will air the show.
For Chandler Baker, this project adds to her growing list of Hollywood adaptations. She is currently adapting her book The Husbands for Amazon MGM and has a movie based on her short story Oh. What. Fun. coming soon to Prime Video. Additionally, she is developing an adaptation of her novel Cutting Teeth, and HBO has optioned her book Whisper Network for a series.
