French producer and cult visual artist Mcbaise (aka Matthieu Bessudo) returned with “Moon,” a hypnotic new single from his upcoming album “Wrongderful,” due November 7 via Dirty Melody Records.
Known for blending lush yacht rock, funk, and psychedelic pop with his distinctive illustrated world, Mcbaise describes “Moon” as “the musical equivalent of one of those black T-shirt(s) airbrushed with a wolf howling at the moon and an eighteen wheeler.”
Anchored by crooner-like guitar, slap bass, and trembling synths, the track dives into the restless overthinking of late nights — somewhere between Tame Impala’s dreamy haze and The Flaming Lips’ cosmic swirl.
The new record follows 2021’s “Tubes” and builds on the momentum of viral hits “Alice” and “Cold Cuts.”
Beyond music, Mcbaise’s animated videos and visual style have earned him a cult following that spans from indie music circles to streetwear culture.
With “Wrongderful,” Mcbaise expands his lo-fi beginnings into a fully immersive audio-visual experience — one that blurs the line between sound and art.

Bilingual emcee Missy D released her latest single “J’avance,” a vibrant showcase of the Vancouver-based artist’s signature “Rap & Soul” sound — a fusion of hip-hop, R&B, soul, jazz, and rock.
Born in Rwanda with roots in Côte d’Ivoire and Zimbabwe, Missy D embodies a cultural mosaic that runs through every verse, whether in French or English. Inspired by trailblazers like Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and MC Solaar, she’s carved out an authentic lane that connects across borders and languages, carrying a message that’s as soulful as it is powerful.
Her resume is just as dynamic: SXSW, NXNE, and the Vancouver Jazz Festival stages; bills alongside Anderson .Paak, Jully Black, and Maestro Fresh Wes; and accolades from the Western Canadian Music Awards, where she earned Francophone Artist of the Year in 2024 and dual nominations in 2025.
Following her project “La Poursuite” — a celebration of perseverance and unity — “J’avance” doubles down on that spirit. The accompanying music video captures Missy D’s unstoppable drive and fearless artistry, offering both a personal statement and a universal anthem: keep moving forward.

Toronto songwriter Oliver James Brooks returns today with “Lines On My Eyes,” a haunting new single that marries his folk-rooted storytelling with unexpected synth textures. Written in the wake of seismic personal upheaval, the track turns inward — tracing grief, self-reflection, and the fragile work of rebuilding when everything feels unsteady.
The song is the latest preview of Brooks’ forthcoming album “Between Me & Me,” a record that navigates loss and resilience with unflinching honesty. Critics have long praised his work as hypnotic and boundary-pushing, drawing comparisons to Neil Young, Kurt Vile, and Gordon Lightfoot while outlets like Indie88, Americana UK, and Exclaim! have spotlighted his singular voice in Canada’s alt-folk landscape.
With “Lines On My Eyes,” Brooks embraces a more expansive sonic palette without losing the raw intimacy that defines his music — offering a cathartic reminder of the beauty found in vulnerability.

Alternative pop artist Celeste Corsano is back with the single “XS,” a sharp, vulnerable track out now via Magic Door Record Label. The song unpacks the pressures of body image, perfectionism, and comparison, playing on the double meaning of “extra small” and “excess” success.
Recorded at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ with producer Ray Ketchem (Guided by Voices, Elk City), the single features James Mastro on guitar and David Nagler on bass. Beginning with a bright pop sensibility before shifting into darker, more ominous tones, “XS” mirrors the unsettling cycle Corsano describes — where fleeting validation gives way to doubt and self-questioning.
“These mindsets come from my own insecurities based on my personal experiences, examples of women I’ve seen growing up and by outside sources such as the media and the entertainment industry,” Corsano said.
With poetic lyricism, adventurous arrangements, and a striking emotional honesty, Corsano continues to carve out a singular voice in alternative pop.
“XS” follows her singles “Stuck,” “Nightbird,” and “Sunlight Gazing,” further cementing her reputation for fearless, deeply relatable storytelling.

Newcastle indie-pop trio BEAR PARK have dropped their bold new four-track covers EP “GROWL,” out now via 25 Hour Convenience Store. Known for jangly guitars, surf-soaked hooks, and razor-sharp charm, the band reimagines punk, dance, garage rock, and metal through their own indie-pop lens — with thrillingly offbeat results.
The focus track, a daring rework of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades,” strips the classic down to its bones and rebuilds it with garage grit and Velvet Underground minimalism.
“Lemmy wrote two versions — one heavy, one bluesy,” frontman Shay said. “It shows how great a songwriter he was. We tried to honour that with our own spin.”
Elsewhere, the EP roars to life with “Teenage Bomb” (The Needles), an eight-minute punk workout featuring a blistering guest coda from Brian Robertson of The Damned. Their version of HiFi Sean & Crystal Waters’ “Testify” brings a rock’n’roll charge to its dance-floor origins, while the Flamin’ Groovies’ “Shake Some Action” gets fuzzed up into a stormy, anthemic closer.
Following their self-titled debut album in 2024 and tours with The Libertines and The Lightning Seeds, “GROWL” finds BEAR PARK hitting reset while showcasing their adventurous spirit.
“After the album and touring, we hadn’t had time to write new material,” the band explained. “So we jammed out songs by other people, ones that took us out of our comfort zone. Eventually, we thought — let’s record them. These tracks deserved to be heard. It’s a BEAR PARK take on some brilliant songs, and we’re calling it ‘GROWL’ — because that’s what bears do to greet one another.”

San Francisco post-punk outfit Octavian Winters return with “Saints of Absolution,” a brooding and visceral new single that teases their upcoming debut album, due in early 2026 via Stratis Capta Records. The track follows lead single “Hermine,” with both songs accompanied by striking short films directed by Bay Area producer David Kruschke.
Produced and mixed by post-punk luminary William Faith (The Bellwether Syndicate, Christian Death, Faith & the Muse) at Chicago’s 13 Studio, the song blends hypnotic guitar lines from Stephan Salit with tribal bass-and-drum textures from Jay Denton and Randy Gzebb, while vocalist Ria Aursjoen delivers a performance that moves from incense-like delicacy to cathartic intensity. The result is dark, primal, and unflinchingly human.
“This song ‘Saints of Absolution’ is about false idols, on two levels,” Aursjoen said. “The broader level, and the one we most often think of when we think of the idea of false idols, is about people attaching to negative ideologies that subvert our better natures, and the toxic swamp that lies down that path. The other level is the individual, and the poison of envy, hatred and spreading gossip behind others’ backs — often serious lies that can be very damaging to people’s lives.”
Formed in 2022, Octavian Winters have quickly earned acclaim for weaving post-punk, ethereal wave, and death rock into a sound that’s unmistakably their own. With their 2023 debut EP “The Line or Curve” and their 2024 collaboration “Nebula / Velveteen” with Mark Pistel (Consolidated, Meat Beat Manifesto), the band established themselves as one of the Bay Area’s most compelling new exports. Their recent set at A Murder of Crows Festival in New York turned heads, and next up they’ll play Bar Sinister’s Ghostly Halloween Ball in Los Angeles on October 31.

France-based Italian artist Alessio Peck has released “Angel Machine,” the electroclash-fueled title track from his EP, out now via Kwaidan Records. The single follows his jungle-infused debut “MAMA” and finds Peck diving deeper into electronic territory while holding onto his post-punk edge and rave-era nostalgia.
Produced in Sheffield by Ross Orton (Arctic Monkeys, M.I.A., Working Men’s Club), “Angel Machine” channels the spirit of electroclash pioneers like Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Fischerspooner, and DJ Hell, balancing icy synths and distorted drum machines with raw hooks and punk grit.
“[It’s] a sonic paradox of euphoria and sadness, singalong dance music with a punk feel to it,” Peck said. “This is music to be listened to while cry dancing in your room alone.”
Born in Italy and now based in Paris, Peck has evolved from psych-rock guitarist to electronic provocateur, pulling influence from Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, and Nine Inch Nails while filtering it through club-ready energy. His sound has carried him from Italian-language cult hits like “Amore Bipolare” to international tours with The Stags and Acid Tongue, and now into his most ambitious work yet.
The “Angel Machine” EP marks Peck’s boldest statement so far — music that blurs the line between singer-songwriter and DJ, between the stage and the dancefloor. A full-length debut is expected in 2026.
