Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are set to reunite on screen in a new Netflix docuseries, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The three-part series will follow the former One Direction bandmates as they embark on a road trip across America, marking their first major project together in years.
The documentary will arrive roughly a year after the tragic passing of fellow group member Liam Payne, with Tomlinson and Malik expected to reflect on his life and their shared history. According to representatives, the series offers “a rare look inside the world of two of the most famous — and most private — men on the planet, opening up about life, loss, and fatherhood.”
Nicola Marsh, known for directing Demi Lovato: Child Star, Song Exploder, and Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story, will helm the project. Produced by Campfire Studios — the team behind Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, Smartless: On the Road, and America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders — the series is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
While Malik, who has a home in Pennsylvania, and Tomlinson will take center stage, fellow One Direction members Harry Styles and Niall Horan are not expected to appear. Still, the project is poised to captivate millions of fans worldwide who first fell in love with the British-Irish group after Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger discovered them on The X Factor in 2010.
