A recent update confirms that New Line Cinema has set a release date for They Will Kill You. The studio plans to launch the horror thriller, starring Zazie Beetz and also featuring Tom Felton, in early 2026. The announcement coincides with ongoing production under director Kirill Sokolov. The film is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2026. Sokolov directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Alex Litvak. The cast includes Zazie Beetz, Patricia Arquette, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, and Myha’la. New Line Cinema will serve as both co-financier and distributor, with filming beginning in mid-September across various locations.
This horror thriller combines elements reminiscent of Ready or Not and The Raid. It centers on a woman (Beetz) who takes a housekeeping job in a mysterious New York City high-rise. As she unravels the building’s dark history of disappearances, she uncovers links to a possible Satanic cult. Patricia Arquette is expected to play the building’s co-op president, while Tom Felton is said to portray a cult member.
The project is produced by Skydance and Nocturna Pictures, the horror label launched earlier this year by Andy and Barbara Muschietti. Producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, the Muschietti duo, and Dan Kagan, known for Longlegs. Executive producers are Russell Ackerman, John Schoenfelder, Kirill Sokolov, Alex Litvak, and Carl Hampe.
They Will Kill You is set to debut alongside Disney’s The Dog Stars, a sci-fi thriller directed by Ridley Scott starring Jacob Elordi and Margaret Qualley, with supporting roles by Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong, and Guy Pearce. This film adds to Warner Bros.’ spring 2026 lineup, which also features a Minecraft sequel, a new Ocean’s installment with Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie, and the animated feature Bad Fairies, all scheduled for wide release.
