Hailing from Culcairn, New South Wales, Iilysh’s rise to national recognition came during her standout run on Australian Idol 2025, where she captured hearts with a fiery stage presence and raw vocal power. Though she narrowly missed the crown—finishing as runner‑up to Marshall Hamburger—her performances, especially a dramatic duet with Wolfmother, solidified her as one to watch.
Emerging from the glare of live television and into the studio spotlight, 17‑year‑old Iilysh Retallick is ready to introduce the next chapter in her journey with her first official single, Not Forever. As her first foray into original recording, the single leans into a pop/rock sensibility—melding emotional lyricism with polished instrumentation.
