GRAMMY-nominated global superstar Demi Lovato has dropped her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, via DLG Recordings/Island Records — listen HERE. The album, executive produced by Zhone (known for working with Kylie Minogue, Troye Sivan, and Kesha), features 11 tracks that revisit the dance-pop style prominent in Demi’s previous hits. It radiates a celebratory vibe centered around taking control and shedding inhibitions.
Leading up to the release, Demi shared the sleek and sexy electro-pop single “Fast,” along with the fierce, infectious pop anthem “Here All Night,” and the fan-favorite “Kiss,” from which the album’s title was inspired by the lyric “It’s not that deep, unless you want it to be.”
In discussing the album, Demi shared, “This album represents an exciting chapter filled with joy, freedom, and lightness. Creating it was the most fun I’ve ever had in the studio. Zhone is an incredible collaborator, and working together was effortless — we crafted a genuinely fun, celebratory album that reflects where I am now.” She added, “It’s Not That Deep is about letting go of inhibitions and embracing that carefree energy that makes us want to dance all night long. I can’t wait for you all to dance with me.”

The album has received Demi’s highest reviews from Rolling Stone to date, who praised it as “a victory lap … she leans into playful synths, club-ready beats, and free-flowing sonics that live up to the album’s title.” To celebrate the release, Demi will perform a one-night-only show at the Hollywood Palladium on October 25 — a concert that sold out in just 20 minutes and sparked high demand for a tour, with over 200,000 people registered in the ticket queue.
