Dublin-born artist and producer Altara reveals his electrifying new track ‘Nostalgia’, ahead of his performance at Ireland’s music week this Friday (Wigwam 8pm)
Nostalgia is the dose of anthemic energy you didn’t know you needed. Endlessly catchy and dancefloor ready, Nostalgia is taken from his upcoming EP ‘Vision, Hindsight 2025’.
Sharing more behind the track, Altara explained; Nostalgia came so out of the blue for me, I was back home in Ireland playing FIFA with my little brother when it hit…I really wanted to embrace the drama, how hard I find it to move on from someone, & I love how fluid the whole process was. I wrote it over that weekend, and we had it mixed & mastered by Friday. We really wanted to keep as much as we could from the original demo, because the feeling was just so fresh.
Nostalgia is one of those songs that is the gravity that can tie a project together, and it was exactly the track I needed to finish the next EP”

French duo Parallelle return with “Searching For The Groove,” the latest single from their upcoming LP 11th Avenue, out October 29 on their Lisbon-based label, FOLDER. The new single, which captures the duo’s playful approach to genre-weaving, is out now.
“Searching For The Groove” builds on syncopated percussion that nods to 2-step, with falsetto vocals and live touches of warm keys and saxophone. It flows with an easy groove, inviting listeners to find their own rhythm within its movement.
“This track is about the endless search for the groove of life. And what is that groove? It’s yours to define,” says Parallelle. “For some, it’s love. For others, success. Maybe joy, maybe freedom. Whatever it is, it’s the rhythm that keeps you moving forward. We met Benji (Sacks) when he was renting our studio in Amsterdam and became close friends. This track started as a studio jam and has quickly become one of our favorites from the album. It has a feel-good, late summer energy.”

Multi-faceted pop artist, Germano, returns with his most infectious single yet, “OLDER,” a dreamy breakup anthem layered with bright synths and guitars over a vintage texture, reminiscent of The 1975 and Chappell Roan. With its instantly catchy hooks and nostalgia-tinged production, “OLDER” showcases Germano’s undeniable growth as a songwriter. His breathy, emotional vocal delivery shines over the atmospheric instrumentation, making the record the perfect soundtrack for a late-afternoon drive down the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. “OLDER” perfectly encapsulates the blissful feeling of getting over someone, while lyrically, Germano conveys the song’s relatable message with a sense of humor and straightforwardness. Unafraid to call out the flaws in the failed relationship, he delivers lines that are both biting (“Tell me why you want back what you don’t want to keep”) and cathartic (“God bless all the memories, but that’s all gone”).

Formed by Venezuelan artists Samantha Dagnino and Andrés Cottin, SORRYNOTSORRY began as a chance jam session in a Long Island City studio and quickly evolved into a lasting creative partnership. After an eight-year break from music, Dagnino returned with a collaborator who matched her experimental instincts and commitment to authenticity, while Cottin brought a producer’s ear and a love of sonic exploration. Together they’ve built a sound that nods to Portishead, Radiohead, Khruangbin, and Tame Impala while remaining distinctly their own—expansive, intimate, and deeply human.

At 39 years old, Nick Cain’s life took an unplanned but welcome detour that changed everything he knew about passion and determination. It began at The Gorge in Eastern Washington, at a country music fest – Watershed – that strummed the strings of his heart just as much as those of the guitar he would pick up following the event in 2019. With no musical background to speak of, Nick dove headfirst into the melodies and rhythms of country music, dedicating every possible moment to self-taught sessions that echoed through the basement of his home.
His regular life as a real estate developer was put on a pause by the Covid-19 pandemic, a break that proved to be a silver lining for Nick’s budding musical aspirations. With building permits on hold, his basement became a sanctuary where he nurtured his newfound love for music, strumming and studying with relentless enthusiasm.
The year-long confinement cultivated in him a desire not just to play guitar, but also to sing and craft his own songs. His unyielding resolve led him all the way to Los Angeles, where he had the good fortune of being mentored by celebrity voice coach Roger Love. It was Love who introduced Nick to the acclaimed songwriter Drew Lawrence. “Spending a week with Roger was a pivotal moment. Writing with Drew has been a great match,” Nick reflects on the experience that escalated his journey into the realms of music creation.

Written from the perspective of someone unraveling internally while keeping up appearances, the track blends an eerie, playful hook with vulnerable lyrics, highlighting the contrast between what people see and what’s really happening inside. Through the song, Samantha Leah examines how easily suffering can be concealed in plain sight. Hypnotic vocals weave through moody strings, bold percussion, and haunting melodies to create soundscapes that feel both timeless and original.
With a devoted audience she calls her “mystics and misfits,” Samantha Leah has built an enigmatic world where darkness and vulnerability meet to create something truly magical. GRAMMY-nominated multi-platinum selling artist Bryson Tiller has released Solace, part two of double album Solace & The Vices, via Trapsoul/RCA Records – Listen HERE. Tiller taps an all-star team of producers including Teddy Walton, Aaron Bow, Evergreen, J-Louis, Gravez, Charlie Heat, Kyrou, Boi-1da, and others to shape the project’s cohesive and refined sound.
Completing the story that began with The Vices, Solace shifts the tone into deeper, more soulful territory. Where The Vices delivered raw energy and lyrical bravado, Solace leans into the smooth, R&B-driven sound that has defined Tiller’s career.
This project showcases both his vocal range and emotional depth as an artist, reflecting his evolution over the past decade while proving that he’s remained true to what he does best. It’s a body of work that not only highlights how far he’s come but also reaffirms the core of his artistry.
Central to the project’s essence is the focus track, “I Need Her,” a song that embodies the identity of Solace and captures the soulful, nostalgic, and deeply romantic energy that runs throughout the album. Layered with smooth harmonies and a 90s-inspired groove, the track explores Tiller’s approach to love — reflecting on building a future, settling down, and doing it all with intention. It leans into a classic R&B sound while still carrying the confidence and edge of his rap roots, echoing the larger narrative that defines the double album.
Together, Solace and The Vices mirror dual sides of Tiller’s artistry. With Solace offering introspection, vulnerability, and a timeless vibe, the two projects balance and complete one another — culminating in a full double album experience that’s both bold and deeply personal. The Vices’ half of the project includes features from the likes of Rick Ross, Plies, T-Pain, BossMan Dlow, Bun B, Luh Tyler, and Baby Drill across its 12 tracks.

To mark the 20th anniversary of his cult classic debut album We Have Sound, multi-instrumentalist and creative iconoclast Tom Vek releases We Have Sound Remixed today via StrataSonic Records — a 10-track remix album in its original order that reimagines the influential original for a new era.
Led by remix singles from Dave Glass Animals, Everything Everything, and IS TROPICAL, the project is complete with a stacked lineup whose own sonic identities trace back to Vek’s genre-hopping, DIY spirit — including Gus alt-J, Baths, Porij, and more.
We Have Sound is widely credited as one of the seminal albums that pioneered indie electronic music. Dave Bayley of Glass Animals calls the album “one of several responsible for us going on to make our music.” Gus Unger-Hamilton of alt-J called contributing to this project “a true privilege.”

Krissy opens the track with sultry, effortless vocals that glide over lush lo-fi production. “Didn’t realise how good I’d be solo,” she declares, celebrating independence with unapologetic confidence. Chic harmonies and a laid-back groove make the track shimmer with effortless sophistication. The video amplifies this energy: a cinematic, elegantly lit piece featuring dancer Christian Ocampo, whose fluid performance mirrors the music’s sleekness and emotional pull. Together, the song and visuals form a bold statement of strength, elegance, and self-assurance.
Krissy, a Lower East Side based model and dark pop dance artist, is carving out a sound all her own. Her sophomore EP, Word Vomit, set for release later this year expands on the dance-pop spark of her debut Eat This Cake while venturing into a more honest, personal sonic landscape. Blending the pulse of dance house, the nostalgia of Madonna, and the groove-driven innovation of Kaytranada, she channels disco icons like Donna Summer and Diana Ross through soft, irresistible falsettos. With the release of SOLO, Krissy invites listeners into a world where nostalgia meets reinvention, and dark pop collides with soulful authenticity—setting the stage for her most defining breakthrough yet.
