3OH!3 is ready to hit the dance floor with their brand new single “HIT ME HARDER”, out now and streaming here. The song – a sonic callback to the band’s earliest releases – blends elements of electro-rap, dance, and rock.
The band shares: “‘HIT ME HARDER’ started as a nod to that gritty, underground dance rock scene we came up on – where the beats were dirty, the lyrics were sassy, and the energy was pure chaos. What’s funny is that we felt inspired by the new era of ‘indie-sleaze’, when in a lot of ways that movement felt derivative of our original music. So, are we just ripping ourselves? I think all that matters at the end of the day is if this beat hits hard…”
Fresh off a full US tour with Simple Plan, Bowling For Soup, and LØLØ, fans can catch 3OH!3 back on the road later this year. The band will be performing at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, in addition to a headline show at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville featuring Charlotte Sands. They also recently announced two shows celebrating the 15th anniversary of their third album Streets Of Gold. The first will take place at House of Blues in Anaheim on December 4th with special guests Breath Carolina and Millionaires, with a second show to follow at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn on December 10th with special guest Millionaires.

Seattle, WA-based eight-piece psych funk outfit Cytrus share their anthemic sophomore album Duality out now with groovy, 1970s-inspired track “Leave The Rest“. Plus, the band will perform live via YouTube as they continue to raise money for various charities this Sunday and later, in person, this winter across Oregon and Washington–see dates.
Through their livestream shows, Cytrus has raised over $1,500 for Snohomish Boys and Girls Club, or 20 meal bags per week for eight weeks in the wake of the government shutdown. The band aims to continue to raise money for those in need. Guitarist and vocalist Jared Squires is proud to support local community efforts and shares, “When I was a kid, my family periodically relied on government funded programs and community support. To know there are kids and families today facing food insecurity and this music thing can move the needle in a positive way, even if just a little? It makes my heart full.”
Duality pays homage to 1960s & 1970s rock, soul and psychedelia, while exploring themes of good, evil, mortality, immortality and time. Over six tracks, the group finds their groove with flowing instrumentals, soaring solos, hard-hitting riffs. With these songs, the band found their identity and their artistic direction as they continue to build their sound and grow their following.

For this opus, Keb is joined extensively by Malik Ameer Crumpler; a poet, composer, editor and professor who’s been involved in numerous albums while writing for various forms of experimental media. The LP explores a truly cinematic sound while exploring new sonic territories. touching on the melancholic funk drifting between voiceovers of longing & hurt, through surreal, hallucinogenic folk ballads, sewn together with ambient synth skits. The overall effect is to transport you to a liminal state, in the back of a taxi, on the late-night streets of New York, where there are whispers of sounds in the air from jazz clubs, street preachers & Turkish restaurants. Keb says “this record is for anyone feeling lost in a world that seems to have lost itself without knowing it. It’s for the people who know that the world is missing the beauty of the lights in the distance, whilst being distracted by new shoes and flashy phones…”

Solrise Records / Virgin Music Group’s Australian-born, Nashville-based country mainstay Morgan Evans rings in the holiday season his own way today with a cover of “How To Make Gravy,” out now. Listen HERE.
Originally written and performed by 17x ARIA Award winner Paul Kelly, “How to Make Gravy” has become an Australian Christmas classic. Told from the perspective of an inmate named Joe calling home to his brother Dan ahead of the holidays, it’s a moving story about family that is especially poignant for those absent from their hometowns at Christmas.
“Recording ‘How To Make Gravy’ came with a weight and responsibility. It’s one of the greatest songs ever written,” Morgan shares. “It’s not your typical Christmas song, but it’s always hit me right in the guts. Anyone who’s ever spent Christmas away from home knows that feeling. I wanted to make a version in 2025 that honors Paul Kelly’s original, but brings a little country soul, texture and the emotion that comes with that. What a song. Means a lot to release my own version. Have a Merry Christmas!”

A true multi-hyphenate, super-producer, fashion innovator and cultural cultivator _BY.ALEXANDERcasts a mysterious and alluring shadow across the modern music landscape. From within the vibrant hub of his 66 Greene Street store / headquarters in Soho NYC, he has been providing a home for some of the world’s most exciting, forward thinking and stylish movements within music, fashion and art. Under his Alex Da Kid alias, he has created multi-diamond selling tracks for the likes of Rhianna, Eminem, Dr Dre, Nicki Minaj, U2, Christina Aguilera, Imagine Dragons & more, making an immeasurable impact on popular culture as a whole.
Alex’s groundbreaking 2024 long-player ‘Memories For Sale At 66 Greene St Soho NY’ featured contributions from luminaries such as CASISDEAD, 070 Shake, Jozzy & A$AP Ferg and gained rapturous applause from fans and critics alike (lead track ‘BLUH BLUH BLUH’ was recently used by Apple to announce the Apple Airpods Pro 3 model earlier this year) Almost a year on from the release of this standout album, Alex now announces that a DELUXE VERSION is due for release in early 2026. Always one to make an entrance, this news is accompanied by the release of brand new track ‘The Decoupling Of The Nuclear Family’ which features the return of long-time collaborator HAWA alongside Hip-Hop royalty Rapsody and the inimitable Ghostface Killah.

Chicago’s leading alternative rock band, Footballhead, has announced their new album ‘Weight of The Truth’ will be released on March 20, 2026 via Tiny Engines. Today, the band also releases the new single “Used To Be” accompanied by a new music video which can be seen here.
“The riff in “Used To Be” is one of my favorites on the record,” says Nolen on the new song. “It undeniably calls back to the 2000s alt-rock & butt rock bangers that you’d hear as a kid in the back of your mom’s SUV on the way to Dairy Queen. Maybe you have your hair spiked and a studded wristband that your older sister gave you. It’s the summer, and you’re gonna play NFL Street 2 and drink Code Red with your best friend all night. That’s the energy we all grew up on and consequently the energy we wanted to capture.”
“This song is where Ryan, Snow, and I had a “eureka” moment together in the studio while writing,” adds drummer Andrew Smith. “The progression of this song was 100% collaborative and sharing that moment, where we were all bouncing ideas off of each other, each better than the last, is one I will remember forever. To me, this song is the perfect culmination of what makes our sound.”

Blooming Fire have released their debut album, riPPle eFFect. The album comes triumphantly after the release of singles “Queen”, “Alien”, “Angel”, “TK”, and “Waterfalls”. A journey through healing and achieving catharsis, the new album is now available on all streaming platforms.
Clocking in at just over a half hour, riPPle eFFect features a mirage of melodies containing soul-searching beats and hypnotic vocals by lead singer Sierra Madre. At its core, the elements of nature (most notably water, wind, and fire) play a key role in piecing together the album’s central themes. One of the album’s highlights “QUEEN” focuses on achieving self-love and owning your true beauty. Motifs like this make riPPle eFFect a sonic treasure to hold close to the heart.
Madre’s vocal chops lend comparison to Lana Del Ray or Florence and the Machine at times, though cutting a more jagged tone with the accompaniment of Ian Nagay’s rhythmic flow. Together, the two create a type of album that sonically pays tribute to the likes of Gorillaz or even Linkin Park. Other guests on the album spruce up the overall vibe include Christopher Thorn (Blind Melon) and Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros).
Blooming Fire offers captivating videos alongside the five singles that were released prior. Get to know the band a bit better by taking a look:

Scottish indie artist Theo Bleak is excited to announce Bargaining, a new collection of songs that arrives everywhere December 18, 2025. Co-written with close collaborator Mark Johnston, the release is heralded by “Megan in New York,” which chronicles a trip to New York that felt like the beginning of the end.
“A song about the most damaging dynamics we can enter into driven by passion, emotion and connections void of any reasonable intellect,” explains Theo Bleak. “Inspired by the self-implosion of my life beginning in New York City, conversations with Megan, who accompanied me on that trip, and the reflections of a man who kept her frozen in time. It is the first single from my fourteen-song mixtape ‘Bargaining’ – each a song a painful step forward as I was stuck longest in the bargaining stage of grief.”

Chicago band This House is Creaking (THiC) have shared their new single “Something Else.” The band’s scuzzy noise pop sound gets glittering, white-hot sparks sent through it on this track. Introspection is couched within sharp, angular guitar as the track ranges from nebulous and bubbling to a splittingly intense cathartic explosion. Their inventive playfulness keeps the ear guessing and contrasts the confessional lyrics, a fittingly THiC approach to it all. This single follows last month’s release of their song “2 LAMP (lava lamp)”, which was chosen for Pitchfork Selects and Alternative Press A-Sides, and received acclaim from outlets such as Chasing Sundays and Glide Magazine.
“This is a song about accepting mediocrity in the face of failure, even when you cannot figure out why it is you’ve failed, and trying to fix things that seem to have broken without understanding how they broke in the first place,” says This House is Creaking, “It’s a funny song we made with our friends Peter Schultze and Hunter Borowick from Tuff Sudz.”

After some teasing and speculation, The Academy Is… announced their return earlier this year with the Almost Here 20th Anniversary Tour. Fans can expect a high-energy set built around the songs that defined the mid-2000s, performed with the intensity and emotion that made the debut record a cult classic. The show blends past and present, weaving in refreshed arrangements, new creative elements, and glimpses of what the band is creating next.
The 14-date tour began last week in Columbus, OH, and will continue to make its way across the United States this winter to celebrate the pop-punk icons’ seminal debut album. The tour is set to visit select cities including Boston, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and more before concluding on December 21st in Santa Ana, CA. The band appeared at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL in September to play Almost Here in full.
The response has been overwhelming, with many markets selling out instantly and demand continuing to climb. The band is already planning a second leg to meet the momentum, marking this as one of their most anticipated touring moments in years.

Queen Quail is the project of Berlin-based songwriter Kirstin Edwards. Raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she grew up playing cello and guitar, with the constant presence of Lake Michigan shaping her layered, intimate sound. Her music has taken root in both Berlin’s indie scene and the DIY traditions of the American Midwest. Queen Quail’s genesis took place in the botanical gardens in Berlin, when Kirstin stumbled upon a “Zwergwachtel” or dwarf quail. The tiny bird’s quiet focus struck Kirstin, and seemed to reflect her own shy, though energetic, nature.
Her debut EP Narcissus explores longing, identity, and the search for home. Across six tracks, she balances the shimmer of indie pop with the intimacy of alternative country. Dreamy instrumentals meet plainspoken lyrics, weaving a sound that is expansive yet vulnerable.
Produced by David Thornton and mastered by Huntley Miller, the EP carries the restless energy of Berlin while staying grounded in Midwestern honesty. With support from Initiative Musik, Queen Quail is carving a space that connects two worlds. It’s music that holds the quiet pull of memory against the urgency of the present.

Queens emcee Truth reunites with the legendary production duo Da Beatminerz (DJ Evil Dee & Mr. Walt) for Nostalgia ThEraPy 2, the follow-up to last year’s acclaimed Nostalgia ThEraPy. Once again, the collaboration delivers a potent dose of East Coast boom bap, with seven new cuts packed with dusty drums, gritty basslines, and sharp lyricism.
Truth sounds hungrier than ever, pairing razor-edged bars with that signature Beatminerz sound that helped shape a generation of East Coast hip-hop. The project features an all-star lineup that includes Psycho Les, Tragedy Khadafi, and Royal Flush, with precision cuts from DJ JS-1 on three standout tracks. From the anthemic lead single “Check It Out” to the lyrical fireworks of “Cause for Concern”, every record captures the authenticity and energy of golden-era New York.
Elsewhere, Truth channels raw nostalgia on “Want It Back,” demanding a return to hip-hop’s roots of originality and integrity, while “Redrum Seen” and “Done Did It” showcase his wordplay over sinister horns and pounding percussion, both elevated by JS-1’s signature scratches.
With Nostalgia ThEraPy 2, Truth and Da Beatminerz deliver more than just another boom bap record. It’s a masterclass in timeless hip-hop craftsmanship. The album drops on Friday 21st November via Animal Military Records, following the release of its debut single “Check It Out” due out on Thursday 6th November.
