21 Savage’s new solo album, What Happened to the Streets?, his fourth solo album, debuts at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 this week with a 70,000-plus sales projection, marking his fourth consecutive solo debut inside the top 3 on the chart in his career. The release marks Savage’s Fourth consecutive solo album to debut within the Top 3, continuing a career-long streak that has seen him never debut outside the Top 5 across all four solo albums and three collaborative projects.
The 14-track set also charts no. 1 on Billboards’ Top R&B Hip Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts, while securing Top 5 placement on the Top Album Sales and Top Streaming album charts .
The album’s release was accentuated by its cryptic, headline-making rollout during Art Basel Week 2025 in Miami, where What Happened to the Streets? was teased through a series of high-profile activations featuring 21 Savage in collaboration with acclaimed British-Nigerian designer and artist SLAWN. During the week, SLAWN unveiled all four meticulously designed album covers at prominent exhibitions including Prizm, Scope, and other premier Art Basel Venues.
The headline-making unveiling preempted Savage’s official reveal at Atlanta’s High Museum as part of a 15-piece art installation with SLAWN, which included the official, Kerry James Marshall-inspired album artworks for Savage’s fourth LP, What Happened to the Streets? The covers have all been printed 2,100 times each, and are available for individual purchase via Savage’s online store here.

Chase Greene does not arrive quietly. With his debut album I Hope You Know, the Providence based artist steps into the pop and hip hop conversation with a project that feels lived in rather than assembled for momentum. The record introduces Greene as a writer and performer focused on mood, movement, and control over his own creative lane.
The album opens with “Press (I Hope You Know)”, a track that blends pop immediacy with hip hop cadence, carried by rap singing that recalls the emotional restraint of modern chart rap. Fleeting Latin accents drift through the mix, hinting at rhythm without turning it into a gimmick. That energy softens on the second track, “Stay Home” where Greene pulls the tempo back and lets atmosphere do more of the work.

Kitchen Dwellers, the Bozeman-born quartet of Shawn Swain (mandolin), Torrin Daniels (banjo), Joe Funk (upright bass), and Max Davies (acoustic guitar) surprise fans with The Katabatic EP (No Coincidence Records), a new three-song project recorded in late 2021 and features guest trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom of Lettuce.
Kitchen Dwellers continue to carve out their own lane in the world of progressive roots music, blending bluegrass, folk, and psychedelic grit into a sound as expansive as their Montana home. Over the last several years, the band has grown from regional upstarts into one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking bands in modern string music. Their catalog pairs instrumental virtuosity with emotional storytelling, an exploratory spirit, and a deep connection to the American West.
“We are excited to share The Katabatic EP. These songs are a snapshot of late November 2021. The four of us went into the studio just after Thanksgiving to lay down some tracks. We had recorded Wise River earlier that year and had yet to begin work on Seven Devils, but we had some ideas we wanted to capture. The three-song EP covers a lot of ground in a short sprint,” says Max Davies. “The source of the inspiration for these songs can be found in Montana where we were spending some downtime before the holidays,” continues . “There’s a juxtaposition in these songs, just like the weather and geography in Montana, or the styles of the four friends who created this small collection of music.”
Kitchen Dwellers will play Portland, OR on Dec 30 and 31 to ring in the New Year, before setting out on tour early 2026 including multi-night runs in Denver, Bozeman, Salt Lake City and Charleston. A full list of announced dates are below. For all up to date news and information please visit kitchendwellers.com.

Brooklyn-based indie soul project Every Us unveils their newest single “B-Train,” a warm, harmony-rich track dedicated to the friends who feel like home. Steeped in late-night subway rides, cheap wine, and the soft chaos of being carried through heartbreak by your chosen family, “B-Train” blends sample-driven grit, intimate vocals, and atmospheric production into one of the group’s most emotionally relatable tracks to date. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms.
Led by Chynna Sherrod’s expressive vocals, the song blends lush harmonies, understated drums, and sample-forward textures crafted by producer Ryan Jones. The result is a cinematic, emotionally driven soundscape, one that transforms heartbreak into reunion and solitude into communion. “‘B-Train’ is basically a love letter to the friends you keep going back to. Think that ‘grab a bottle of cheap wine’ kind of love,” Jones explains. “We wanted to poke fun at the idea that real love only belongs to romance, and instead celebrate the people who show up when the night’s messy and the people are right. This track is all about Chynna’s voice, giving it space while sneaking in the Every Us crew quietly in the background.” With lyrics like “Wine until we can’t stand, drag each other home, tell me that’s not true love,” “B-Train” reframes the rituals of friendship as profound acts of connection. Written and produced by Ryan Jones and mixed and mastered by Ian Kimmel, “B-Train” expands Every Us’s sonic universe, drawing on soul, alt-pop, and the project’s signature collage of samples and group vocals. For fans of Jungle, Dijon, Dominic Fike, and Mt. Joy, the song offers a snapshot of the tender, chaotic, and deeply human moments that define the modern New York City community.

All Day I Dream is closing out the year with Glade, a wondrous three-track EP from Argentinian producer Ramiro Drisdale, out now.
Glade brings Ramiro’s atmospheric touch into sharper focus, presenting a fluid collection built around momentum and understated detail. Across the three tracks, he shapes a patient narrative that rises gradually, guided by crisp percussion and warm tonal shifts that open each track into expansive, late night territory. The result is a cohesive journey that reflects his instinct for movement, letting the melodies and rhythms unfold naturally.
“This EP is made up of three tracks, all designed to resonate on the dancefloor. ‘Glade’, ‘Jebel’, and ‘Norte’ each contain organic nuances, but together with their synthesizers they achieve a main-set feel that works very well at key moments in a set. The drums and percussion play a major role in making this happen, as they ensure the groove never fades or if it does, that its drop is striking.” – Ramiro Drisdale

Dance music powerhouse GRYFFIN, rising producer LAVERN, and electro-pop duo AR/CO have enlisted Italian duo Mathame for the newest official remix of ‘Higher Power’ out now via 10K Projects.
The latest remix extends the emotional weight and uplifting spirit of ‘Higher Power’ while offering a fresh perspective for the dancefloor. Mathame’s version chops AR/CO’s ethereal vocals and layers droning synths over pulsating percussion, pushing the original’s anthemic energy into new territory. Transformed through a blend of atmospheric melodies and driving underground rhythms, Mathame have elevated ‘Higher Power’ into a cinematic, late-night club experience.
Mathame’s new remix joins earlier ‘Higher Power’ reworks by Matt Sassari and AVELLO. In addition to heavy-hitting collaborations with Kaskade, Excision, and GRiZ, 2025 saw GRYFFIN tap acts across the electronic music spectrum for official remixes of ‘Air’ and ‘In My Head’ as he continues to cement his place as a leading figure in the scene. GRYFFIN will close out the year with NYE festival appearances at Contact, HiJinx, and Provenance.
Stream Mathame’s new ‘Higher Power’ remix available now on all platforms.

VALÉ
“lightspeed”
• In 2025, VALÉ blended her Latin pop roots with more experimental production and alt-pop influences. The standout was “lightspeed,” released in June – a stuttery, upbeat, and charged track that lives up to its name.
• Produced by artist and producer Adrian Cota (Caloncho, Camila), it landed the #2 spot on Spotify’s Best of Fresh Finds Latin 2025 playlist, and was also added to their Fresh Finds Class of 2025 playlist.
• VALÉ spent the year on the road opening for THE DRIVER ERA on their OBESSION TOUR and BETWEEN FRIENDS on their WOW! TOUR!. Fans can expect more live dates and new music ahead in 2026.

MARYJO, MERGUI
“LIVING ROOM”
• In August, Mergui joined forces with viral breakout star maryjo on “LIVING ROOM.”
• The track gained traction on TikTok – with teasers from maryjo’s account racking up over 20 million views and inspiring more than 40K user-generated videos. The accompanying music video, directed by Camila Vidal (David Kushner), now sits at nearly 2M views on YouTube.
• Originally penned and recorded as a solo track by maryjo, the song took on new life when she brought Mergui into the creative process. Together, they transformed it into a powerful, emotionally charged ballad. Expect more from maryjo and Mergui next year.

Oscar Maydon continues to cement himself as one of the leading voices of the new wave of Musica Mexicana with the release of his new single, “ESTA NAVIDAD,” a track that finds the artist at his most vulnerable and reflective. Produced by Daramola and Yoan, the song arrives as a celebration of a year defined by major milestones for the rising star.
Built on a contemporary sound, “ESTA NAVIDAD” explores the contrast between holiday celebration and the loneliness that often accompanies the season. Oscar reflects on a love that never came to be, the distance from family, and moments that can’t be reclaimed, singing from an intimate place that stands in contrast to the high-energy spirit of his most viral hits. His performance captures a universal feeling: the longing to close out the year alongside the people we love, even when time, life, and distance tell a different story.
Far from a traditional holiday song, the single delivers an emotionally grounded narrative that resonates with the generation reshaping Mexican music today. Daramola and Yoan’s production adds a modern glow that wraps around Oscar’s voice, creating a sonic hybrid that feels innovative, honest, and deeply connected to his artistic evolution.
As he looks ahead to a 2026 filled with new surprises, Oscar Maydon has spent recent weeks working on new music while continuing to expand his cultural footprint. During Art Basel, he attended events hosted by brands and publications including Hublot, Highsnobiety, Ray-Ban, Puma, Galore, among others. Maydon continues to add major achievements to his résumé following a year marked by multiple successes, two Latin Billboard Music Awards, and the recent conclusion of his U.S. tour.

Fiona Apple releases the limited edition 12-inch vinyl version of her intensely moving protest anthem “Pretrial (Let Her Go Home),” which plainly and powerfully illustrates the horrifying effects of our broken cash-bail system on women, girls, and — especially — Black mothers. More than a record, the release is a call to action, fleshing out the world of the original song and pledging to donate at least $7 from each unit sold to Let Her Go initiatives. Visit LetHerGoHome.org and purchase the vinyl HERE.
The 12-inch release features “Pretrial (Let Her Go Home)” and companion works created for the movement — including an instrumental version of the single, an intimate “practice” version, and, on Side B, “Court Watchers (Narration & Original Score by Fiona Apple).” The latter hails from a documentary short Apple worked on with the National Courtwatch Network to encourage regular civilians to volunteer to “court watch” — observing and assessing court proceedings for fairness and efficacy. She previously spoke to The Washington Post about it.

Genre-defying, acclaimed artist, Jessie Murph has released her powerful live cover of “Hallelujah,” performed during her set at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball earlier this month. The stripped-back performance quickly garnered widespread attention online, with fans praising Jessie’s raw vocal delivery and emotional depth. Listen to the cover HERE and watch the official visualizer HERE.
Reimagined through Jessie’s signature sound, the cover offers a familiar classic in a new light, showcasing her ability to convey vulnerability without restraint. The performance stands as a testament to Jessie’s artistry, further cementing her reputation as one of today’s most compelling young voices. Admired for her ability to deeply connect with songs both old and new, this release aligns seamlessly with her discography.
Last month, Jessie released the deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed sophomore album Sex Hysteria, accompanied by the deeply personal short film “Sex Hysteria The End”. She recently wrapped the European leg of her Worldwide Hysteria Tour and continues to build momentum as she looks ahead to an even bigger year in 2026.

Scottish indie artist Theo Bleak is excited to unveil Bargaining, a new collection of songs available everywhere now. Bargaining is a mixtape filled with heartfelt confessions, musings on grief, and desire for connection. Written throughout a transformative year in the raw songwriter’s life, in conversation with the journals of her late great uncle, Theo Bleak excavates every bad experience for the sake of her songs, documenting cathartic moments of pain and hope.
“A chronological mixtape of my year through the most intense stage of grief I experienced- bargaining. Coming to terms with change, which felt unsurpassable, deep love, and brutal honesty,” Theo Bleak explains. “My mixtape was recorded at each of the rawest, saddest moments. The creak of my studio chair was audible in some of the tracks where I sat down to reason with my life, my mistakes, and my choices.
I navigated the mess of my life over the last year, inspired by the complex philosophy hidden within simple sentiments, imparted through my late Great Uncle’s journals. I read and annotated these, rich with his passion for cycling. These diaries begin in 1966, and although John died in the early 2000s, I could feel the friendship as though the veil was thin between the living and the dead. My best friend.”
