Hot on the heels of her intoxicating, dance-infused single “Air”, and subsequent remixes from a slew of electronic music’s finest—Meg Ward, Josh Parkinson, Ossie—
rising pop talent BANA returns with another electrifying release, “Ripple Effect”. The new offering pulses with crisp percussion and shimmering synths, providing a sleek, rhythmic backdrop for BANA’s effortlessly smooth vocals. With each release, the Kurdish multi-hyphenate continues to carve her place in the UK pop landscape, blending global influences with the vibrant energy of the contemporary electronic underground, solidifying her reputation as one of pop’s most exciting new voices.
Speaking on “Ripple Effect”, BANA explains: “[Ripple Effect] is probably one of my favourite songs I’ve ever released. It captures the feeling of passing down pain and hurt so accurately. Sometimes when we get hurt by someone or something we spread the pain without even realising that we do… and Ripple Effect simply talks about that.”

New single ‘I Won’t Yell’ arrives as a declaration of defiance. Originally stemming from a folk song Romanie had written years earlier, ‘I Won’t Yell’ was co-produced with Adam Hyde (Peking Duk, Keli Holiday) and Tom Stell (Golden Features), reworked during a 3 day co-writing session in Sydney. Speaking to the process, Romanie shares, “We turned this small acoustic song upside down into this powerful statement, keeping basically all the lyrics and giving them a new meaning.
The song is about not being heard as a woman: oftentimes we get called ‘too much’ or ‘too loud’ with the result of keeping our emotions to ourselves, or not speaking up about the things that we want to. ‘I Won’t Yell’ was a fun song to make: letting go of my constant self judgement with the nudge of Tom and Adam, who let me yell in the vocal booth.”

Chicago band This House is Creaking (THiC) have shared their new single “Something Else.” The band’s scuzzy noise pop sound gets glittering, white-hot sparks sent through it on this track. Introspection is couched within sharp, angular guitar as the track ranges from nebulous and bubbling to a splittingly intense cathartic explosion. Their inventive playfulness keeps the ear guessing and contrasts the confessional lyrics, a fittingly THiC approach to it all. This single follows last month’s release of their song “2 LAMP (lava lamp)”, which was chosen for Pitchfork Selects and Alternative Press A-Sides, and received acclaim from outlets such as Chasing Sundays and Glide Magazine.
“This is a song about accepting mediocrity in the face of failure, even when you cannot figure out why it is you’ve failed, and trying to fix things that seem to have broken without understanding how they broke in the first place,” says This House is Creaking, “It’s a funny song we made with our friends Peter Schultze and Hunter Borowick from Tuff Sudz.”

Myles Lloyd unveils I’m Still Thinking, his highly anticipated new album that cements his place as one of R&B’s most compelling new voices. The project marks a major milestone for the Montreal singer and songwriter, expanding on the emotional depth and sleek, modern production that have earned him a fast-growing global audience.
Infused with nostalgic textures, pop precision, and smooth falsetto melodies, Myles Lloyd’s music is both vulnerable and infectious. With roots in classic soul, modern R&B, and early 2000s pop, Lloyd crafts songs that speak directly to the overthinkers, the romantics, and anyone navigating the chaos of feeling too much.
With I’m Still Thinking, Lloyd turns his lens inward, diving deep into themes of anxiety, love, loss, and self-reflection. From the confident swagger of “Grapevine” to the cool introspection of “Cold,” every song feels like a late-night confession. Across 13 tracks, the album captures the restless thoughts of a young man learning to make peace with his past and himself, offering a raw, reflective, and unfiltered look into his world.
“‘I’m Still Thinking’ is the space between holding on and letting go,” Lloyd shares. “It’s where all the memories live not in pain, but in reflection. Making this album was like talking to myself out loud. I thought I was done processing everything, but these songs proved I wasn’t. It’s messy, honest, and really just me working through what I’m still feeling. Ultimately, it’s about understanding why we hold on, even when we know it’s time to let go.“

Coming from three continents, fluent in four languages, and being raised between vastly different worlds, Tanis is the definition of a global artist. Her upbringing took place across island coastlines, bustling cities and historic streets. With every note, Tanis asserts a truth she’s always lived – that identity isn’t inherited, it’s created. She was constantly surrounded by shifting landscapes and ever-changing expectations. Despite the kaleidoscope of cultures around her, Tanis carved her own path – choosing to not define herself by where she was, but who she wanted to be. Her music mirrors the same independence: no boundaries, unstuck to set genres or traditions, and unapologetically her own.
Building on the momentum of her breakout singles – ‘Priority’, ‘Kid’, and ‘Turn Off The News’ – she continues her evolution with the release of her debut EP ‘Just Some Stories’. The record showcases her distinctive voice and fearless songwriting, weaving together personal reflection, raw emotion, and the bold energy that has defined her journey so far.
The project also introduces two brand new tracks – ‘Child In The Empty Forest’ and ‘Not A Choice’ – which push her sound into fresh territory while staying true to the honesty and energy that first caught her listeners’ attention. Together, these tracks complete a body of work that feels both cohesive and forward-looking, marking a confident new chapter in Tanis’ artistry.
Speaking on the EP as a whole, Tanis said: “They say having a full life is living one filled with all sorts of experiences. I often get asked what my songs are about and ultimately they are “just some stories” that I’ve lived through and I’m sharing through music.”

Garrett Anthony Rice’s single release, “Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder” and surprise single “As Magic as the Snow,” captures two distinct but intertwined shades of reflection. Both pieces explore how loss and memory leave their shadow long after loved ones have left us.
“Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder” is quiet in a nearly holy way. The newest song from his upcoming double album, Equinox, reveals itself with the consideration of coming to terms with the past. Built on a melody that unfurls like a gentle guitar accented with soft flourishes of piano, you might think of the song less as a performance and more as a moment of memory. The writing feels like it is coming from those quiet corners of emotion, the moments when absence isn’t sharp, but simply part of the landscape. The spirit of the song is not to reconcile what has been lost. Instead, it captures the elegiac form of what once was. Whether the absence comes in the way of death, estrangement, or time doing what time does, the way Rice approaches distance is full of grace and tenderness that feels earned.

Rising star Medium Build, a.k.a. critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Nick Carpenter, is expanding his takeaways EP to encompass an entire ongoing playlist of new music with four brand new songs, out now via slowplay/Island Records UK.
Of the track ‘Balance’, Carpenter notes, “I wrote this song with my buddy James Glaves. We’ve both struggled for years with sobriety. Failed attempts at moderation. Manic swings between wellness and party lifestyles. My whole life sometimes feels like this huge pendulum swing. Never centered and balanced. This is a snapshot of trying to find that stillness in the chaos.”
The project also includes the new track ‘Ben Affleck’, which Carpenter says, “Y’all know that picture of Ben Affleck having the cigarette? I know you do. And I know you know the feeling of helpless abandon you can see in his face and body. This is a song about that feeling. It’s a song about wanting to die and wanting to know if you have any real friends. It’s a song about feeling fake as fuck. It’s a song about my good buddy Ben Affleck.”
The expanded playlist includes the re-released tracks ‘Stick Around’ from Carpenter’s Country LP and ‘John & Lydia’ from Carpenter’s Marietta EP, alongside the newly released tracks ‘Balance’ and ‘Ben Affleck’. Originally released earlier this year, the first three takeawaystracksreimagine songs from the early chapters of Carpenter’s career, featuring one reworked track each from his self-released albums softboy, roughboy and Wild.

fast rising future-pop artist Maria Domark will be releasing the darker, house-inspired VIP Mix of her recent single “is this what you wanted?”. Following the recent release of the vulnerable original, the beat-forward reimagining was produced in collaboration with Canadian DJ and producer Crimson Child. Where the original introduced the most intimate and emotionally raw side of Maria yet, the VIP Mix taps into the bolder, more industrial side of her sound. Fueled by heavy basslines and futuristic synths, the track pushes her further into the edgy, experimental world she continues to explore.

Emerging synth-pop artist Paris WYA has just released her rendition of Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” just in time for the holiday season. With stirring instrumentals and a refined, synth-pop approach, Paris WYA demonstrates her phenomenal ability to transform seasoned classics into lively cinematic variations. The release also includes a bonus acoustic version of the cover. “Santa Tell Me” is now available to stream on all digital platforms worldwide.
In crafting her version of “Santa Tell Me,” the sophisticated pop artist teamed up with producer Tony Calabro (Netflix’s The Witcher) and co-producer Drew Thurlow (Lea Michele, John Legend, The Jonas Brothers)—who also contributed guitar and synth on both iterations—to capture the nostalgic warmth and joyful spirit of the festive season. Both of Paris WYA’s renditions, mastered expertly by Vault Mastering (Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer, The Fray), feature similar falsetto runs and stylistic approaches to Grande, but the enlivened musician takes her orchestration one step further by adopting a whimsical, almost effervescent instrumentation for her cover. Paris WYA reinvents the original song, replacing its contemporary R&B and dance-pop influences with glimmering synths and ethereal notes. The result is a timeless rendition that interprets Grande’s iconic fills with a vivid twist. Discussing her decision to cover Grande’s iconic Christmas anthem, the adventurous singer-songwriter said, “‘Santa Tell Me’ was one of my favorite ‘new’ Christmas songs growing up: it came out when I was eleven, and it instantly became part of my holiday soundtrack. When my team and I started talking about creating a holiday track, this was the first song that came to mind.” In reworking Grande’s modern classic, Paris WYA didn’t seek to simply reiterate the track, but to create a version that’s adjacent to her current sonic ecosystem, mirroring the growth of her artistry leading up to her MANNEQUIN EP. “The goal was to make a version that could stand on its own apart from my EP, but still live in the same world I’m building sonically,” she added. “It’s my take on a modern classic — a reminder of the joy and comfort that music brings during the holidays.”

artist and producer Austel (Annie Rew Shaw) shares her divine new single ‘The Beach in December’ ahead of her upcoming live show at The Waiting Room on the 4th of December with Arthur Squawks – get your tickets here.
The new single arrives alongside a gorgeously nostalgic music video shot with her brother Louie on Brighton beach on an old camcorder. Sharing more, Austel said: This song has a very specific sense of place for me, but it’s also about reflection and looking back. So it felt fitting to retrace the steps of the journey within the video.’
Rich, soothing instrumental and meticulous lyricism reflect on the lasting impact that childhood has on our adult relationships. Beautifully cinematic, Austel wrote the track after a fleeting summer romance in Brighton ended amicably but sadly. Sharing more, she said: ‘I returned to the beach during the winter months (Bon Iver season) and reflected on how our childhood experiences impact how we move through the world. I decided to record the entire journey from Brighton beach to the train station, then the train back to London, on a Zoom recorder. I wanted to create a memory for people to get lost in for a few minutes – travelling with the song along the beach, on the train. It still evokes a lot of memory – it’s a bit of a time capsule, which I think is the work of the field recordings.’

LA-based indie pop artist Dani Felt is bringing a fresh twist to a holiday classic with her new single, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” released November 22nd. Produced by Ernest Lee and mixed by Dallas Jack, the track re-imagines the timeless favorite with a cinematic, moody edge that blends modern pop sensibilities with heartfelt nostalgia.
Originally created for a film pitch, the piece resonated so deeply with Dani that she chose to release it as an artist project in its own right. Featuring soulful vocals, lush production, and an immersive, atmospheric tone, her rendition beautifully reflects the warmth and bittersweet emotion of the holiday season.
“I wanted to put out something magical for the end of the year to reach everyone’s hearts for the holidays,” says Dani.

Marti Perramon shares his new EP Boy From Barcelona, Baby via Polydor Label Group. The five-track project features previously released singles ‘All My Life’, ‘Sugar (Honey Ice Tea),‘Peace Sign’, as well as two new tracks ‘Cellotape’, which explores being a hopeless romantic even against the impossibility of someone living on the other side of the world, and ‘Mutual’, a slow-jam about closure that collides a rap verse with an anthemic, upbeat chorus.
Marti says about the project, “It’s the highs and the lows of me as a human, but an accurate representation of how I view and react to the world around me. I moved to the UK when I was 9 years old from Barcelona. I have always felt like an outsider in some sense and it was music that was my saving grace and my confidence in times where I didn’t even know the language. This project means a lot to me because it helped me finally gain ownership of who I am, in a world I felt I always sat outside of.”
