The first set of images from I Want Your Sex, the upcoming erotic thriller featuring Olivia Wilde and Charli XCX, has been unveiled. Directed by Gregg Araki, known for his Teenage Apocalypse trilogy, the film stars Wilde, Charli XCX, Cooper Hoffman, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs, Johnny Knoxville, Margaret Cho, and Roxane Mesquida. The story centers on a man, played by Hoffman, who secures a job working for a provocative artist portrayed by Wilde and ends up becoming her sexual muse.
I Want Your Sex is scheduled to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2026. As of now, the release date for the general public has not been announced. According to the film’s synopsis: “How far is too far? When eager young Elliot (Hoffman) lands an exciting opportunity working for the renowned artist, icon, and provocateur Erika Tracy (Wilde), his fantasies start to come true as she makes him her sexual muse. But Elliot soon finds himself overwhelmed as Erika takes him on a deeper journey than he ever imagined—into a world of sex, obsession, power, betrayal, and murder. Featuring outrageous characters and a playful sense of humor, I Want Your Sex promises to challenge expectations in ways that will both shock and entertain.”
Director Gregg Araki is renowned for creating the Teenage Apocalypse trilogy, which includes Totally F*ed Up (1993), The Doom Generation (1995), and Nowhere (1997). His film Kaboom (2010) was the first-ever recipient of the Cannes Film Festival Queer Palm. His filmography also includes titles like The Living End (1992), Splendor (1999), Smiley Face (2007), and White Bird in a Blizzard (2014).
