The first trailer for Girls Like Girls has officially arrived, offering an early look at the long-anticipated coming-of-age film.
Set for a theatrical release in the United States this summer via Focus Features, Girls Like Girls marks a deeply personal project for Hayley Kiyoko. The film is inspired by her viral 2015 song of the same name, which became an anthem for a generation. Kiyoko, making her feature directorial debut, previously expanded the story into a best-selling novel published in 2023.
According to the official synopsis, the trailer teases a tender and emotionally rich story unfolding over one sun-soaked summer. The film follows Coley, a new girl in town who experiences first love while navigating identity, vulnerability, and self-acceptance.
