The first trailer for Scary Movie 6 has been unveiled.
The Scary Movie franchise, known for its comedic parodies of horror films, first launched in 2000. It was followed by several sequels, including Scary Movie 2 (2001), Scary Movie 3 (2003), Scary Movie 4 (2006), and Scary Movie 5 (2013). The upcoming Scary Movie 6 trailer promises another wild parody, spoofing a variety of popular horror movies and franchises such as Weapons, Sinners, Get Out, M3GAN, and Scream, among others. The film is directed by Michael Tiddes, with a screenplay penned by Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans—the renowned Wayans Brothers.
Returning to their roles are Anna Faris as Cindy Campbell and Regina Hall as Brenda Meeks. The cast also features Shawn Wayans as Shorty Meeks and Ray Wilkins, Jon Abrahamas as Bobby Prinze, Lochlyn Munro as Greg Phillippe, Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore, and others.
Marlon Wayans has previously teamed up with director Tiddes on several projects, including A Haunted House, Fifty Shades of Black, Naked, and Sextuplets. The film is produced by the Wayans Brothers alongside producer Alvarez, with executive producers Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Lowey, and Thomas Zadra.
Regina Hall shared her excitement about Scary Movie 6 in an interview with Variety, stating, “I read the script — and it was really funny. I knew what they were aiming for. I believe a project is still evolving until it’s finished and in the right hands — you never really know. But having the original cast back is exciting. The Wayans are involved again, and so is Anna Faris. Brenda and Cindy’s friendship is just as important as ever, even if they’re still best friends.”
Scary Movie 6 is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on June 12, 2026, distributed by Paramount Pictures.
