Trailer: Netflix Unveils Horror Miniseries “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen”

Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming horror miniseries Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, produced by the creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer. The limited series, consisting of eight episodes, is set to premiere on Netflix on March 26, 2026.

The series follows Rachel (Camila Morrone), who is preparing for her wedding in just five days. Alongside her fiancé Nicky (Adam DiMarco), she sets out on a road trip to his family’s secluded vacation home deep in a snowy forest, aiming for an intimate wedding celebration. However, Rachel’s superstitions and growing paranoia lead her to believe that disaster is imminent.

The official synopsis hints at a tense atmosphere: “Rachel is getting married in five days. Together with Nicky, she embarks on a journey to his family’s remote cabin for the wedding of their dreams. But Rachel can’t shake the feeling that something bad is going to happen.” The trailer showcases their wedding preparations, but Rachel’s mounting anxiety sparks doubts about her choices and fears about what might go wrong if they go ahead with the wedding.

Created and executive-produced by showrunner Haley Z. Boston, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen features a cast led by Camila Morrone as Rachel, Adam DiMarco as Nicky, Jeff Wilbusch as Jules, Karla Crome as Nell, Gus Birney as Portia, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Victoria, Ted Levine as Boris, and Sawyer Fraser as Jude.

The series is executive-produced by the Duffer Brothers and Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Productions, alongside Andrea Sperling and Weronika Tofilska. Tofilska also serves as a director, joining Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann in helming the series.
