First Look At ‘Every Year After’ Coming To Prime Video

Prime Video is ready to fill the summer romance void for fans still missing The Summer I Turned Pretty. The streamer has officially announced the release date and shared first-look photos for its upcoming adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After, now titled Every Year After.

All eight episodes will premiere on Prime Video on June 10, 2026. The series stars Sadie Soverall as Percy and Matt Cornett as Sam, the central pair in this heartfelt love story. The supporting cast includes Abigail Cowen, Aurora Perrineau, Michael Bradway, Joseph Chiu, and Elisha Cuthbert.

Set in the charming lakeside town of Barry’s Bay, the story spans six years and one pivotal week. Prime Video describes it as “a romantic, nostalgic tale of first loves and the people and choices that shape us forever.”

Gossip Girl alum Amy B. Harris serves as showrunner and executive producer. Carley Fortune, along with Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens, and Grace Gilroy, also executive produce.

To build excitement, Prime Video has released a set of first-look images that capture the series’ sun-drenched lakeside aesthetic and the undeniable chemistry between its leads. The visuals evoke the same warm, nostalgic summer vibe that made The Summer I Turned Pretty such a massive hit.

That beloved series wrapped its three-season run in 2025 with a strong 79% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It became one of Prime Video’s most-watched originals, topping charts in over 120 countries during its final season and more than tripling its viewership from season one.

A feature film serving as the final chapter for The Summer I Turned Pretty is currently in development, with creator Jenny Han writing and directing. No release date has been set yet—Han has emphasized her desire to get the ending just right and allow the cast time to age naturally into their characters’ next phase of life.

In the meantime, Every Year After arrives just in time to satisfy fans craving more heartfelt summer romance.
