Nashville-based LGBTQ+ indie-rock artist Abby Nissenbaum and her  newest single “Why Does No One Want Me,” out now, leading up to her EP due out in June in time for PRIDE. Nissenbaum writes from the heart, exploring  themes of depression, isolation, and heartbreak, but anchored by messages of hope, empowerment, and community. Complemented by her effortlessly honest and raw vocal delivery, Nissenbaum offers relatable, honest and heartfelt lyricism amidst catchy melodies, beautifully contrasting the energetic indie-rock soundscape which surrounds her.

Plucked from ‘In My Mind There’s A Photograph’ (due for release on 29 May via LFNG), the 10th studio record features lyrical contributions from a panoply of world-leading authors, all of whom were asked to reflect on a single significant photo to them.

This latest glimpse into the upcoming album finds Colin putting music to the reflections of the Scottish-based, Welsh-born nature/travel writer & journalist Dan Richards (‘Holloway’, ‘The Beechwood Airship Interviews’).

Inspired by a vintage photograph of his grandfather, Bob, who worked on the Great Western Travelling Post Office between Bristol Temple Meads and Plymouth, “Where are the Heroes?” finds Dan stepping into his shoes to imagine the kind of life he had. Known as the B&P TPO, Bob served on its trains from 1949 until the service closed in 1972. He can be seen pictured, at work, in the single artwork included below.

Imagining the breathless pace of the role, Dan Richards provided a vivid account of how he imagined day-to-day life, with an extract as follows:

“Racing to sort mail by set times and locations so it could be wrapped up and dropped at speed – pouched mails off, pouched mails on – the bang and whip of the spring-loaded nets scooping leather bags in passing and bouncing them into the carriage… The beat of the loco, rhythm of the track. Mails off, mails on. Hatch open, bags set, mail out, mail in. And on.”

Mexican-born songwriter, producer, and artist Maria-Ines presents ‘Mixed Emotions (LIVE from Real World Studios)’, a live reinterpretation of her debut EP ‘Mixed Emotions’. Recorded with full live instrumentation, the five-track project offers listeners an unfiltered glimpse of her raw vocals, musicality, and emotional storytelling.

‘Mixed Emotions (LIVE from Real-World Studios)’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

SCS Cello Ensemble presents “Hymne à l’amour,” a romantic and cinematic live arrangement of Édith Piaf’s timeless classic, reimagined for eight cellos. Recorded live, the performance carries both intimacy and power, offering a familiar melody and new emotional depth through the unified voice of a single instrumental family.

This release is deeply connected to the documentary Where Music Grows (Et klassisk liv), which follows Scandinavian Cello School (SCS) and its founder Jacob Shaw over five transformative years. Within the film’s narrative, the ensemble returns to the hospital where Shaw was treated for cancer, performing for staff and patients. In that context, “Hymne à l’amour” becomes more than a performance, standing as a gesture of gratitude, resilience, and unwavering love.

Folk vocalist and storyteller Hayden Everett shares his new single ‘Roll On Thru’, the final preview of his forthcoming album So The Sun Can Pour, dropping April 17th. Written and recorded at the cabin that his great grandpa built in the Sierra Mountains, the song captures the warm walls and lived in charm of Hayden’s most precious place. Meditative, delicate and carefully composed, the track expands into an anthemic chorus that might never leave your head. Built on the quiet strength of Everett’s voice, ‘Roll On Thru’ draws the listener into a space that invites pause and reflection – at once intimate in its detail and expansive in its atmosphere.

Victoria, BC-based alternative rock band Door d’Or share their compelling new single “What You Want,” available now on all digital streaming platforms. The track marks the second release from their debut album, The Exquisite Dream, which is set to arrive on May 1, 2026.

Blending ‘90s-inspired alternative rock with flashes of psychedelic prog and post-punk drive, “What You Want” unfolds with a restless, evolving energy. The song moves between hypnotic grooves and surging guitar work, anchored by a rhythm section that pushes the track forward while leaving space for its more expansive, exploratory edges.

Originally written in the band’s early days together, the track has since taken on new weight. What began as “Song 3” transformed through collaboration, with drummer Darin Steinkey shaping the chorus’s rhythmic backbone and lyrical core. Newly written verses reflect the tension of today’s global climate, while an extended outro – sparked by one of Mike Ison’s fluid basslines – leans further into the band’s post-punk influences.

With its philosophical undercurrent and timely perspective, “What You Want” resonates as both a personal and collective call to examine the forces shaping modern life. The track captures a band engaging directly with the present moment while searching for a more thoughtful path forward.

“This song invites us to question what kind of world we want in the future,”says vocalist and guitarist Mat Geddes. “What kind of human do we want to be? What would you want if you could get what you want? We adamantly oppose violence in all its forms, and this song asks humanity to break the cycles of brutality somehow. By beginning with ourselves, we can overcome the lower emotions of revenge, anger, and hatred. We advocate for evolution, not revolution, to realize a future with no violence.”

LINDA PERRY
“Let It Die Here”

• Linda Perry releases “Let It Die Here,” the fifth single off of her forthcoming album, Let It Die Here, which comes out on May 8th.

• The single is a confrontation with corrupted faith, inherited guilt, and the cost of survival. global breakout artist Artemas releases his brand new mixtape getting up to no good. The 10-track project marks his most explosive release yet, offering a deeper dive into his moody, addictive world while sharpening and expanding the sound he’s come to define. Listen HERE.

Rounding out his recent run of releases, including the double single “psychokiller” and “myself,” which have already amassed a combined 3.5 million streams, as well as surprise final preview “more than just a little bit” with over 700K streams getting up to no good continues to expand the emotional world Artemas has crafted throughout his career. Leaning into the raw, late-night energy that defines his signature sound, the mixtape pairs hypnotic production with melodious lyricism, pulling listeners further into his immersive universe across every track.

The release coincides with a major moment behind the scenes, as Artemas also assisted in writing and producing BTS’ highly anticipated album ARIRANG alongside Diplo on song “Like Animals.”

Powerhouse pop vocalist Vella’s latest single, “Dance Without You,” is a reclamation of her body, mind, and soul. Mixed with an infectious funk beat, Vella tells a story of soulful liberation from a toxic situationship she knew wasn’t right for her. “Dance Without You” is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms via L3V3L Music.

With “Dance Without You,” Vella delivers a soul-drenched breakup anthem rooted in honesty, self-respect, and emotional release. Led by her commanding vocal performance, the track captures the moment when love is acknowledged for what it was—real, deep, and heartfelt—but is no longer enough to justify staying. Vella co-wrote “Dance Without You” alongside songwriting giants such as Carl Ryden (Kylie Minogue, Ricky Martin, Icona Pop), Will Simms (The Pussycat Dolls, The Black Eyed Peas), and Sadie Rose Van (Jonas Blue). The track interpolates the chorus of Cassius’ 1999 French house hit “Feeling For You.” Through vivid imagery like “dancing round your words” and “blood on my feet,” Vella reflects the exhaustion of loving someone who couldn’t meet her truth, transforming heartbreak into movement rather than defeat. The recurring refrain “but I’ll still dance without you” becomes both a declaration and a release, a symbol of choosing autonomy and forward motion over dishonesty. Blending classic soul and funk influences with modern pop sensibility, “Dance Without You” showcases Vella’s ability to balance vulnerability with strength, cementing her place as a new powerhouse vocalist unafraid to sing from lived experiences. “’Dance Without You’ should make you want to dance and scream about your emotions,” Vella says. “This song is about putting your foot down and walking away from someone who was toxic for you.” The result of this creative practice is a song that aches, empowers, and ultimately liberates, resonating with listeners who know the pain of loving fully and the courage it takes to walk away. “Dance Without You” was crafted in collaboration with her head of A&R, Achraf “AJ Junior” Janussi (Jennifer Lopez, Cheryl Lloyd, Taio Cruz), Grammy-nominated producers Carl Ryden and Will Simms, mixed by Matt Huber (Julia Michaels, Alex Warren), and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Halsey). Built around rich instrumentation and a groove that mirrors the song’s emotional push and pull, the production allows Vella’s vocals to take center stage while supporting the track’s themes of release and resilience.

All Day I Dream today offers a soft and serene close to a snowy season with A Winter Sampler VII, a 12-track compilation out now. Continuing the label’s tradition of seasonal collections, the latest installment gathers a global cast of artists whose productions capture the reflective calm and subtle warmth that arrives as winter begins to thaw.

The journey opens with ‘Feeling Lonely’ from Rove and Ariaty, an alias of Tim Engelhardt, whose combined rhythmic sensibility sets a progressive tone for the compilation’s opening moments. Rob Davy follows with ‘Run To You’, a gently driving cut that unfolds through sweeping synth lines and patient percussion. Lost Desert and Hermanez join forces on ‘Be As One’ featuring Tasha, pairing fluid movement with a hypnotic vocal presence, while Aldous returns to the series following his appearance on last year’s Summer’s End Sampler with the atmospheric ‘Blue and White’.

Further along, North East England-based producer Strange Malcolm’s ‘Elysian’ unfolds with airy textures and spacious progressions before female DJ Rossie deepens the mood with the underground flow of ‘Asphodel’. Argentina’s Joan Retamero and Greta Meier introduce a brighter, uptempo turn on ‘The Beginning’, which transitions naturally into ‘Azul Infinito’, a driving tech-soaked collaboration from fellow Argentinian pairing Poli Siufi and Gastón Sosa.
