Rising London based rising alt soul & pop artist Sophiz shares her anthemic new single ‘Red Lipstick’, a powerful and visceral slice of alt leftfield rock pop born from a level of emotional and creative chaos.

‘Red Lipstick’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

seeTrees has released their latest single, “Lights Out in the City,” a rock anthem calling for optimism amid the suffocating dismay of today’s world. Written by Drew Lawrence and produced by Luke Adams (Jacob Dylan, Pete Yorn), the song insists on morality and decorum amid a polarizing, extreme political landscape. “Lights Out in the City” is available on all major streaming platforms now.

“Lights Out in the City” hits the ground running with a catchy, cinematic instrumental that captivates the audience with ethereal keys and a confident drum beat. “‘Lights Out in the City’ navigates the current extremes and hypocrisies in our political climate while pleading for decency and a return to being a beacon of civility and freedom for the world,” explains the brainchild behind the project, Drew Lawrence. Lawrence’s nostalgic vocal quality draws in listeners as he sings, “It’s a delicate rage / Dangerously safe / Can’t even explain where we are.” He holds the audience’s hand through the fire as the track blooms in desperation for peace and understanding, begging listeners to find common ground with one another. The single has a heart of its own: it’s anthemic and inspiring, casting a protective shield over the ray of sanguinity that continues to dim with each misstep. “The USA is still one of the best experiments yet on this planet, and we need to be careful not to let that beacon of hope dim. Greed, false information, for-profit media, entitlement, and an utter disregard for precedent are all chipping away at our foundation.” Despite everything, “Lights Out in the City” glimmers with perseverance and determination.

Los Angeles-based post-punk artist Nick Moon has released his latest track, “Setting Sun,” the first single from his upcoming album, Who is the Bone Man. “Setting Sun” is a satirical and playful confrontation of the growing class divide in the United States, served with a side of a dance-worthy beat and a dash of a catchy chorus. “Setting Sun” is available to stream on all streaming platforms now.

“Setting Sun” hits the ground running with a groovy, surf-rock beat, punchy percussives, and provocative lyrics. With a vocal personality akin to none other than David Byrne of the Talking Heads, Nick Moon hooks the audience with the familiar croon off the bat. Moon adopts an exaggerated caricature of a persona in this track, with his mastered deadpan delivery and absurdly compelling sound a la Julian Casablancas, paying homage to additional inspirations such as LCD Soundsystem and Car Seat Headrest. “Setting Sun” features multiple sweeping guitar solos that are as intoxicating as they are electric, getting the audience dancing if they weren’t already. The repeated chorus demands a crowd-wide singalong, with lyrics such as “You’re going out of style / So babe you better run / I’ll meet you there at the setting sun.” Moon’s cheeky, razor-sharp sarcasm will feel instantly familiar to fans of the post-punk scene. Paired with his commanding control over the track’s gritty instrumentals, “Setting Sun” lands as an immediate standout. “‘Setting Sun’ is a fantasy about hunting down rich people on their day of reckoning,” he explains. “When I play the guitar solo live, I like to run back and forth across the stage. I also sing the first few lines of the song to a plastic skull.” Written and performed by Nick Moon, “Setting Sun” was produced by Anthony Rosales and Henry McKenzie.

Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Cody Simpson has released the music video for his new single “When It Comes to Loving You via Range Music / BMG — watch HERE. The video serves as the second act to the “Baby Blue” video released on March 27, together constituting a bold, cinematic announcement of Simpson’s return to music after a six-year hiatus. The latest video was teased earlier this week with a Billboard on LA’s iconic Sunset blvd, playfully taking inspiration from the infamous Fight Club line “The first rule of Cody Simpson is: You do not talk about Cody Simpson” – See here.

The “When It Comes to Loving You” video is directed by Antony Muse and picks up precisely where “Baby Blue” left off: Cody entering a darkened building and cutting to black. The second act reopens on the roaring aftermath of a Fight Club-style underground fight, with Cody ultimately emerging victorious — sprayed with blood, surrounded by a roaring crowd. Conceived as a two-part visual companion to both singles, the double music video signals the beginning of a new creative chapter for Simpson.

“This is the most fun I’ve ever had on a video set. Coming off my career being an athlete, getting physical for my work is now one of my favorite things to do. This fight-club inspired music video is a fun and starkly contrasted extension of the narrative begun in ‘Baby Blue’.  Hope you dig it. Just whatever you do don’t talk about it!” – Cody Simpson

Blending jazz-influenced melodies, analog-inspired textures, and classic hip-hop drum patterns, the album unfolds as a continuous listening experience that rewards immersion and repeat plays.

SoulChef says “I wanted to capture a specific feeling with Raw Silk: the combination of hard, raw hip-hop elements and the smooth, polished melodies of R&B and soul. I created this music to give you a break from the noise. A place of peace through music, where you can go to escape the busy world.”

Rising indie-folk pop singer Aly Navarro has released her comeback single “DNR,” the first off her forthcoming EP. This haunting, introspective ballad depicts the uphill battle of walking away from a relationship that died long ago and coming to terms with goodbyes. “DNR” is available to stream on digital platforms worldwide.

“DNR” opens with stark vulnerability and self-awareness on top of a wading, stripped-back instrumental. Immediately pulling the audience into her headspace, we are introduced to a romantic partnership plagued with “maybes” and unreliability, and Navarro’s lyricism makes clear that she is ready to pick herself up and move on with her life. DNR” is the story of the relationship that came after the end of her long-term relationship. “I learned that he was not who I originally thought he was, and when I decided that I did not deserve to feel the way he made me feel, that was when I wrote DNR with my co-writers [Makena Tate, Michael Leto],” says Navarro. “I decided I could no longer stand the disrespect and confusion that this ‘situationship’ was causing me.” Resembling the authenticity and artistry of Lizzy McAlpine and Sara Bareilles, “DNR” showcases Navarro’s rich tone and raw emotions as she undergoes this inevitable transition out of a toxic connection. “I’ve gotta pull the plug, Whatever this was, it wasn’t love, Breathing us back to life / Is wasting my air on what’s not right,” Navarro sings as she accepts the fact that this love isn’t as strong as she thought it was, and that despite how painful it is to walk away, sometimes it is what’s necessary. The track was produced, mixed, and recorded by Michael Leto, mastered by Theo Quayle, and features Ethan Rounds on acoustic guitar and banjo, slide guitar by James Fall, and drums and bass by Michael Leto.
