A trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming action film RZA’s One Spoon of Chocolate.
This new movie, written and directed by RZA, a prominent member of the Wu-Tang Clan, is set to hit theaters across the United States next month. Presented by Quentin Tarantino and distributed by 36 Cinema Distribution, the film promises a gripping story. According to the official synopsis, the story centers on Unique (played by Shameik Moore, known for Dope and voicing Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse films), a seasoned veteran and ex-convict seeking a new beginning in a small town. After clashing with a local gang, he begins to suspect they may be connected to the mysterious disappearances of young men in the area — including his own cousin. As Unique delves deeper into the truth, he finds himself targeted not only by the gang but also by the local sheriff’s office, whose involvement in the disappearances could be even more sinister. Determined to fight back instead of waiting to be eliminated, Unique and his close allies (including Paris Jackson and RJ Cyler) take a stand in this sharply satirical and stylish action thriller from Wu-Tang Clan’s visionary leader.
The cast also features Blair Underwood, Emyri Crutchfield, Michael Harney, and Harry Goodwins. The film’s producers include Paul Hall, Robert F. Diggs, and Talani R. Diggs, with Mitchell Diggs, Talani R. Diggs, and Joseph Patrick Genier serving as executive producers. This marks RZA’s fourth time directing a feature film, following The Man with the Iron Fists (2012), Love Beats Rhymes (2017), and Cut Throat City (2020).
RZA’s One Spoon of Chocolate is scheduled for release in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026.
