Dylan O’Brien (Send Help) is set to lead the cast of James Morosini’s upcoming erotic thriller, Bulls, alongside Lewis Pullman (Thunderbolts*) and Kaia Gerber (Bottoms), as we can reveal.
Yvette Zhuang and Zach Glueck, co-CEOs of Manifest Pictures, are launching the project ahead of the Cannes market. Written and directed by Morosini—an SXSW winner for I Love My Dad—the film is being financed and produced by QC Entertainment, known for Get Out. Roth/Kirschenbaum Films (Fast X), the producers behind Sony Pictures’ hit Anyone But You, are also on board as producers. Manifest Pictures will handle international rights, while CAA Media Finance, WME Independent, and QC Entertainment will co-represent domestic sales. Principal photography is scheduled to begin before the end of the year.
Bulls centers on Danny (O’Brien), a man who has spent thirty years apologizing for simply existing. As his relationship begins to falter, he books a last-minute trip to a hedonistic island resort, hoping to return as a man his girlfriend can believe in. However, his solitary escape takes a dangerous turn when he hooks up with Ava, a married woman (Gerber). This encounter puts him on a collision course with her dominant husband, Marco (Pullman). As Danny becomes increasingly entangled in Ava’s seductive world of sex, power, and psychological manipulation, he quickly realizes that being caught by Marco is only the beginning of his troubles.
