Billie Eilish debuted her concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) on Wednesday night, May 6, at the Fox Westwood Theater in Los Angeles. She made her entrance on the red carpet alongside co-director James Cameron, her parents, and her brother Finneas. Eilish’s partner, actor and musician Nat Wolff, also joined her for the occasion, marking their first appearance together on a red carpet as a couple.

The evening began with Eilish and Cameron addressing the enthusiastic crowd, expressing their pride in the film. Eilish took a moment to thank her team, her family, and Cameron himself. “I just want to thank this guy right here,” she said, pointing to Cameron, “who brought this idea to life. I’m so excited that we now have this captured forever.”
Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) is Eilish’s third concert film and her first collaboration with Oscar-winning director James Cameron. The film captures the energy of her epic arena tour supporting her upcoming 2024 album Hit Me Hard and Soft, including behind-the-scenes footage of the tour setup. Fans also got a glimpse of an interview between Eilish and Cameron, where she shared insights into her mindset and artistry. In a candid moment, Eilish opened up about her struggles with desirability and her desire to feel comfortable embracing her femininity.

Attendees at the screening were fully immersed in the concert experience, with many rushing to the front of the theater to create their own lively pit. They danced along to hits like “Bad Guy,” “Birds of a Feather,” and “Lunch,” connecting with the performance on a personal level.

The film also marked a milestone for Eilish, as it was her first tour without her brother Finneas by her side. Before the recorded performance, Eilish read a heartfelt note from Finneas wishing her luck. In a special moment, Finneas surprised the audience by joining Eilish on stage for a duet of “Lovely.”
“Surprise!” Eilish exclaimed to her fans.
The film concludes with Eilish in her favorite happy place—spending time with puppies. She shared that she invites local animal rescues to bring adoptable dogs backstage, allowing her crew to play with and potentially adopt the dogs. Ahead of the event, Instagram hosted a “Close Fans Only” event, where Eilish’s biggest fans were invited to interact with puppies from her favorite Los Angeles rescue, walk the red carpet, and be among the first to watch the movie.
