Production has officially started on the third installment of the A Quiet Place franchise, set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City—the city that never sleeps.
John Krasinski, who returns as writer, director, and producer for A Quiet Place Part III, announced the commencement of filming on Saturday via Instagram. He shared a photo of the film slate placed in front of the Manhattan Bridge Arch and Colonnade in Chinatown, NYC.
“Here. We. Go! #Part III,” Krasinski captioned the image.

In March it was reported that Emily Blunt, Krasinski’s wife, would reprise her role as Evelyn Abbott, a character she played in both A Quiet Place (2018) and A Quiet Place Part II (2020). The cast also includes Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as Evelyn’s children, Regan and Marcus. Additionally, Cillian Murphy is returning as Emmett from Part II, with Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke, and Katy O’Brian joining the cast for this new chapter.
Krasinski, who directed and starred as Evelyn’s husband Lee in the original film, portrayed a character who sacrifices himself to save his family during an alien invasion by a species that hunts solely by sound. Despite his death, Lee’s presence continues through flashbacks in Part II, which Krasinski also directed. Fans can look forward to more intense suspense and emotional storytelling in the upcoming installment, premiering on July 30, 2027.
