Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Stella Lefty is making waves once again with the release of her highly anticipated EP, Is This Heaven? This collection marks a significant milestone in her burgeoning career, showcasing her evolution as an artist and her knack for capturing the essence of nostalgia, love, and self-discovery.
A Journey Through Nostalgia and Love
Is This Heaven? delves deep into themes of nostalgia and the sweetness of falling in love, creating a sonic landscape that feels both fresh and familiar. The EP opens with the tender focus track “Something to Lose,” a heartfelt duet featuring country star Vincent Mason. The collaboration infuses the song with warmth and vulnerability, setting the tone for the rest of the project.
Following “Something to Lose,” Stella introduces “Why Wouldn’t We,” a bright, catchy tune reminiscent of early Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. Its infectious melody and relatable lyrics exemplify her ability to craft songs that resonate deeply with listeners. The EP also includes her previously released fan favorites “I Know I Know,” “Boston,” “Slow Dancin’,” and “Thinkin’ ‘bout You,” each adding layers of emotional depth and musical richness.
A Reflection of Personal and Artistic Growth
Reflecting on the project, Stella shared, “‘Is this heaven?’ No, it’s Iowa.” She quotes her favorite film, Field of Dreams, to encapsulate her feelings about the EP. “It’s the perfect way to sum up everything I’ve been doing lately,” she explains. “I never believed that people could connect with my songs like this. It feels like heaven to me. I feel like I’m in a dream, and I just want to stay asleep a little longer so I can keep living in this moment. The music feels the most ME it’s ever been.”
Her words underscore the personal significance of this release, which she describes as her most authentic work yet. The EP’s emotional honesty and polished production demonstrate her growth as a songwriter and performer.
Chart-Topping Success and Growing Recognition
The success of Stella’s singles continues to skyrocket. “I Know I Know” has amassed an impressive 600,000 streams per day since its release, while “Boston” has surpassed 70 million streams, consistently climbing global charts. Notably, “Boston” has reached #27 on the Billboard Hot 100, #5 on Billboard’s ‘Hot Country Songs’ chart, and #38 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart. The track’s popularity is further evidenced by its inclusion on Spotify’s coveted ‘Today’s Top Hits’ playlist, contributing to Stella’s total global streams exceeding 160 million.
