Ariana Greenblatt to Star in Romantic Comedy “Egg Baby” for Prime Video

Ariana Greenblatt, known for her role in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, is set to lead in Egg Baby, a romantic comedy directed by Natalia Anderson. The film is produced by XYZ Films and has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios for global release on Prime Video.
Written by Sawyer Perry, Egg Baby centers on a rebellious artist and a golden-boy quarterback who are unexpectedly tasked with co-parenting an egg for health class. As they navigate the challenges of raising “Yolk-o,” they discover that their unlikely partnership might hatch something genuine between them. XYZ Films is producing the project alongside Allison Friedman, known for The Mortuary Collection and The Fix, in collaboration with BuzzFeed Studios.

Greenblatt, who recently appeared in the Lionsgate threequel Now You See Me: Now You Don’t alongside the franchise’s original cast—including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher—has also starred in projects such as Barbie, Fear Street: Prom Queen, and Borderlands. Most recently, she signed on to star opposite Grace Van Patten in Hanna Gray Organschi’s debut feature, Rubber Hut, as initially reported. Additionally, Greenblatt will be seen starring alongside Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming independent drama Somedays.

Director and executive producer Natalia Anderson’s credits include Maggie (Hulu), Nobody Wants This (Netflix), Will Trent (ABC), Welcome to Flatch (FBC), Single Parents (ABC), and Life in Pieces (CBS), where she began her directing career. She has also collaborated with Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions on Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, and co-created Hulu’s Resident Advisors, starring Jamie Chung and Ryan Hanson.
