Mahershala Ali is set to star in a new film titled Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, produced by Amazon MGM Studios. The movie is directed by Bassam Tariq, who previously was attached to direct the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Blade film. Fans of Blade have expressed disappointment that their anticipated collaboration with Ali in the MCU never came to fruition, especially seeing the two team up for this different project.
In this dramatic story, Mahershala Ali portrays Latif, a deeply religious hitman who faces the challenge of balancing his work, faith, and responsibilities as a father. The narrative focuses on his life after the death of his wife, as he ventures through Houston to protect his children. Along the way, he confronts mounting threats and internal conflicts that test his beliefs and resolve. Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother is scheduled for limited release in select theaters on September 25, 2026, with a wider release expected later that October.
